Slow service. Made me pay for a check up first time as I wasn't in their system, even though I had been wearing contacts for years. Second time I just wanted to re-up my dailies, had none in stock, tried to sell me extra large pack of different brand, eventually contacted Newmarket branch to see if they had any but in the meantime I had already found same brand and much cheaper online. Won't be returning.

Love their services. Friendly customer services. Been here for the last 4years. The only thing is they always seem to have the same glasses for the kids. There is never any changes or something new for the kids glasses. In the last month they allowed my 8 year child to pick from the women section as they will be able to do her glasses in them, which my daughter was happy to choose. Other then that we love OPSM. Just on a note please OPSM get some new frames for the children there hasnt been any changes for the last 2 years......

I walked into the Manukau store only to enquire about my eyes getting checked as I've had issues with my eyes. A lovely staff member took care of my concerns and she managed to book me in for an eye test within 10minutes. Great customer service from staff/optometrist. Look forward to getting my new prescription, very happy customer!!

I remember getting my first pair of glasses here when a was a little kid. Optometrists were always awesome: thorough eye exams and they always took the time to really examine you. Maybe it might've been the covid-19, level 2 situation but I felt pressured to buy glasses. I'd booked an eye exam and that went well but right after, I got handed over to someone who could help me out. I assumed it was to pay. I was then asked if I had seen any frames that I liked and was quick to say no and that I didn't want to buy any today. I then asked if I could get my prescription written down for me - as any normal person these days, I want to get the best bang for my buck. If another store stocked a frame I liked and they didn't, why should I purchase something I do not want for double the price? They were hesitant to give me the prescription and kept telling me that I should have my glasses fitted in the store. Didn't feel like I had much choice and that it was pretty simple; eye test = buy glasses They did give me other options by asking me if I had "any further questions" but if it were someone who was looking at buying their first pair, you might not know what to ask for. I understand that sales are low for plenty of businesses but for a customer who arrived on time, abided in all of the rules during level 2 and a paying customer, I do not believe that I should leave the store feeling like a burden. Tldr: would not recommend for first time eye checks or people looking to buy their first pair of glasses. You do not need to buy a pair then and there. You can save for it or buy elsewhere... ??‍♀️

It's been 3 years with my current glasses which meant that I was overdue to get my eyes checked. I booked in for an appointment and decided on the Manukau store due to the central location. The store was very easy to find within the shopping mall and on first approach it was laid out nicely. I was quickly attended to and my eye examination was underway with a series of machines which made the process really fast. (Possibly 20 minutes total for the $85 examination). After finding the right prescription to suit my eyes it was time to choose glasses. I was assisted the whole time (about 1-2 hours) to decide on frames for everyday glasses and a pair of sunglasses. Wasen was very helpful and provided plenty of options and recommendations. The total cost was $1400 which included 2 pairs of frames, lenses and eyewear protection. This was on the expensive side but I am very pleased with my purchase and the delivery time of ordering on Friday and picking them up on Monday. The Sunglasses came with the standard lenses which means when it comes time to upgrade the lenses can be swapped out and I can recuperate some costs.

Worst glasses and service I have ever received. I can't believe I made the mistake of trying OPSM instead of my usual Specsavers. They recommended the wrong lens upgrade for my prescription. I went back to the store 5 times to see if they had given me the right glasses and they kept telling me it just takes time to get used to digital lenses. Came back after a year (never having been very satisfied with glasses) for an eye test and the optometrist at the store commented that my eyes were searching and that they had recommended me the wrong type of lens as this upgrade was only recommended for close distance vision issues. I looked at new glasses but the cheapest pair they could come up with for my prescription was over $900 so I went back to specsavers and when I picked up my new pair it was like the rest had returned to my eyesight. I went back to OPSM after this seeing as for some reason the lens somehow cracked in the week I picked up my new pair (I was planning to keep the OPSM pair as a backup). First I was told nothing was covered because they only had 30 days warranty and the glasses were 12 months old. I told her the website said they offered 24 months warranty and told me it was only 12 months. I ended up speaking to the manager who told me it was a scratch not a crack and that I must have treated the glasses poorly because there were scratches all over them. I have worn glasses for 15 years and I have never once had a scratch on my lens which probably speaks of the quality of this $700 pair of glasses. Moral of the story and TL;DR - zero care, overpriced glasses, terrible service. I will never return.
