★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed there numerous times over the years don't like the way that its being run by new owners they have e en removed the picnic table by the stream had many a comfortable lunch on it whilst fishing. You can't even stay in the lodge unless you book the whole place. Or one of the side places not my cup of tea any more.

We stayed in the biggest room with kitchenette and everything else you could ask for.
"The best bed i have ever sleept in" my 7-year old daughter said. Very high and luxirous standard.
Easy to find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 26April 1739 A week after Easter our household of three generations and nine people including three kids and two teenagers drove down here in convoy from Auckland to Paradise Valley Lodge on the outskirts of Rotorua. My wife and I got married in 1982 in Rotorua at the Ohinemutu church on the lakeside. My wife was born in Rotorua so we love the place and we want our three granddaughters to know the place.
The Paradise Valley Lodge owners welcomed us on arrival. It is not evident from the outside but the main Lodge accommodation unit is very big warm especially when the wood log fire is going. Our party of nine was easily swallowed by the three rooms each two bunk-beds capable of sleeping four people comfortably in their own separate bunks.
Their is plenty of hot water and fridge space. The two large tables are more than enough to cater to everyone in a large party. And the cutlery and crockery is plentiful.
Because of its rural countryside location the air is super fresh and clean. Very crisp in the mornings. And it is only a few minutes of walking to the riverside where trout are highly visible and photographable.
All in all a wonderful lodge and location with welcoming hosts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was an unexpected gem. A friend booked out the whole place. The rooms are variable with some double bed ensuite and some bunk bed rooms. We stayed in the bunk beds and I was very happy with the bed. The double bed rooms looked amazing. Great location close to Rotarua but very private and nice views. Highly recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Lodge is so nice and in such a beautiful yet convenient location. It was perfect for what we needed and was so spacious for our group of 10! It was a real bonus being able to walk down to the stream, and all the facilities worked well. We absolutely loved staying in this amazing accommodation and the garden was stunnning!
