A whole day of fun!

A firm New Zealand favourite, and only 35 min easy drive from the city. With two awesome hydro slides, a huge heated open-air pool with a gently-sloping beach area for young children, another indoor pool (heated to 40°C), private spas and an exclusive adults-only pool, we have plenty to offer.  Aside from pools, our grounds also have plenty of space; it’s the perfect spot for a family picnic or lunch.  Gas BBQs are available for hire and guests are welcome to bring their own food.  If you’d rather turn up and relax, there is also a reasonably priced cafe onsite. Equipped with something for everyone, Parakai Springs is the perfect family day out.

Facilities were quite run down. Grime and paint peeling and missing tiles in the pools and the water in the indoor pool was pretty grotty. For the price you pay it would be nice to see them take better care of the place rather than leaving it to look dilapidated! The food at the cafe was gross and not worth the price at all.

Awesome pools for the family with a safe environment, good facilities and friendly staff. The main pool is warm around 20 degrees and a warmer indoor pool that sits at 30 degrees with an open roof. The waterslides are fun for all ages and there are plenty of tables and outdoor BBQs areas. A fun day for the whole family.

A great place for a gathering or an outdoor birthday party. Indoor pool was pretty hot around 40 degrees. Outdoor pool was nice around 30 but got closed two times during our time there due to number 2 accidents. The slide however is definitely the highlight of this place, it was very high but felt safe. I will leave to structural engineer to rate the safety of the slide.

We only stayed for about 1.5 hours as we did not enjoy our stay. The toilets were dirty, there was vomit right next to the pool that nobody cleaned up - yuck - and everything was old and dated. The kids area was closed and the outdoor pool pretty cold while the indoor pool was too hot to stay for more than 5 minutes. Cafe food was ok and price for the food reasonable. For a family of 4 the entry it is absolutely overpriced at $75. We definitely won't be going back.

hydro slides were quite a rush but felt safe enough for our young boys to enjoy as well.Kids enjoyed the obstacle course and the kids corner. It was busy but there was not a long wait at all to go down the slides which I thought was pretty convenient. Life guards were visible and friendly. Entrance fees are well worth it considering you have full access to the slides both pools and the kids corner. Totally recommend this place to families with children for a fun filled day out.

Such a fun day… Adrenaline level ? up high! 1.lots of shades and benches around but still you can bring your own gazebo or mat… 2.barbecue area, well equipped 3.one large outdoor pool, one hot indoor pool, and slides! Kids pool was closed 4.honestly the slides are too old and looked dirty from outside (not such a neat presentation) but seemed well maintained and full of fun ****** 5.AND let me tell you about the hidden pool :) yes!!! Just pass the coffee station and then turn right, unbelievable, quiet, peaceful, beautiful and full of hot water under the two big palm trees….

Visited in 2017, it was very crowded at the slides and indoor heated pools. In the 2 main outdoor pools you could find a space for yourself at least. From my last visit, I remember there being a patch of grass to the north west of the pools and beyond that empty land which had a bad odor pouring into the pools. Not sure if it is removed but would definitely be better suited having storage in that location as the storage lockers are more visible than when they are all around the pool.

As the last surviving thermal hotpools near Auckland, this place deserves a visit. It has a cooler outside pool which is better in summer, and a hotter indoor one which is better in winter. For the kids there are two hydroslides which will keep them entertained for an hour or so. There is a 70s charm to this place, but it could be so much more with some effort and renovations...
