β β β β β Enjoyed our stay despite initial hesitation. We had booked a room for 4 of us through the booking website we used but motel had us in a room for 2. Couple of trundler beds quickly solved that and main bed was super comfy.
Room was extremely clean and kids loved the pool.

β β β β β For the price at 220 would have expected better in quality, room was tired, only 1 piece of soap, 1 face cloth, 1 hand towel - fridge was next to useless with perished seals. Had just come from Pahia where we paid 150 for a better unit with sea views. I guess given the limited accomodation availabe in the Helensville area they can charge a premium - wouldnt stay at this place again.

β β β β β Nice enough room but we were supposed to have a premier room with a King bed, instead we were given 2x singles. Could hear the people in the room above us pacing around all night and there was no coffee in the room per the advertisement.

β β β β β Quite the disappointing experience. $220 per night as well O.o.
- On arrival the reception lady had just hopped out of the pool and seemed very disinterested and entitled - as though she was doing me a favour by letting us stay there.
- I had another "guest" ask me for spare money when I was walking to my room; which suggests to me that this establishment is potentially being utilized as emergency housing.
- The room was not completely clean from the last guest - there was still rubbish and a used wet towel in the bathroom drawer. There was hair in the fridge. There was unexplained "dirt" around the place.
- A huge concern was the lack of COVID protocol's. Not a single mask was being worn by staff nor was there any sign - no a vaccine pass was requested and seems to be no consideration of social distancing from other guests. They had 1 QR code though.
- Room had a funky odour and the outdoors area smelled distinctly of cat food/litter. Indoors was riddled with flys and other insects so we had to go out and buy bug spray.
- The Warehouse branded living&co towels were well overused and had a hole in them.
- The heatpump worked, however the remote had no cover and had batteries completely exposed - concerning when you have kids around.
- Exractor fan in the bathroom didn't work. There was no spare toilet paper - just half a roll of 1 ply.
- The private Spa was nice, until my wife randomly found a "wipe" of somesort come through the hotwater tap.
- Wifi BARELY worked.
A lot of promises on the website went unmet. Really want to continue to support kiwi local businesses, but it's experiences like this that makes it very difficult to continue to avoid big branded companies.

β β β β β Not the best experience here, staff are not very friendly and felt very put off ask for anything. Staff have no covid protection dont wear masks but expect you to be vaccinated (which i am).
Room was rather dirty hairs in the bathroom sink also found a knife on top of the windowsill...
Really didn't want to use the cutlery after as it looked like nothing was cleaned. Walls all have scuff marks on them and missing paint (this could be fixed very easily)...
All battery covers were missing from each remote and TV batteries looked as if someone had been chewing on them very dangerous.
The last night we were here 2 gang members were walking around the grounds screaming about nonsense and walking up to room checking the door to see if they were open.
Check out was at 10am but when I took the keys back they seemed rather annoyed that I was there and didn't want to unlock the door.
Overall experience here was very poor...
not the best bang for buck.

β β β β β The mineral pool is great! made me nourished & enjoyed overall.
There is a lovely cat around the place to say hello to the guests.
I only go there for the spa experience, you can ask for these options.
The room equipment is a bit old and could be renovated to attract more AKL travellers.
