About Peter Alexander
Peter's love for animals started at a young age, however his passion for the welfare of animals started when he met Penelope – his beloved sausage dog, whom he just had to have when he passed her in a pet shop and was horrified to see she had been marked down like a last season frock!
"My dogs remind me every day about what's important – kindness, honesty, loyalty, lots of love and a big lick!"
Penelope, was Peter's constant companion and a regular star of many sleepwear catalogues until she went to doggy heaven in 2005. This cute little dachshund named Penny, continues to be a mascot for the brand to this day. Since then Peter now has two more dogs, Betty and Butch, which although will never replace Penelope do hold a special spot in Peter's heart.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a great sleepwear retailer. Top quality, great for gifts too. They also sell candles that smell amazing when lit. You can buy many brands of scented candles but the Peter Alexander candles are a cut above in my opinion. They smell amazing!

I bought two gift sets and for one of them i wasn't sure the size so Emma gave me a gift receipt for each gift set incase the person had to exchange the gift for a different size. However, there was no need to as both my friends, who I bought the gift sets for, loved it and it fit them perfectly. Will be back for more gift sets for friends.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Apart from the overwhelmingly sickening smell of vanilla, Peter Alexander in Westfield Newmarket is well stocked, maybe even to the point of being cluttered.
Staff are usually busy but happy to help at the drop of a hat. A good selection of women's wear but there is a small collection for men who are bored of waiting for their female counterparts to be done with their shopping to get stuck in as well. Two comfy armchairs by the store entrance makes the wait slightly more bearable.
Otherwise, a good store. Worth browsing in from time to time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I adore PA and have so many pairs of pjs but this store really let me down. I was buying a set on sale for $59.00 I have $60 cash, I went up to the counter with the set and my $60 the girl serving me took my cash and opened the till only to find it was empty she turned around and the other employee said she had "forgotten" to put the cash out today so I couldn't pay in cash. I asked if I could give the $1 to charity or have no change since was almost exact amount. They refused and i was handed back my cash.
