★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome day of sailing. We took the 6h sailing trip to Motorua island and from start to end, the experience was amazing. Rachael and Luke are great hosts and they will tell you some cool facts about the area + you'll get snorkeling gear or stand up paddle. Perfect day in the bay!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An awesome way to see the Bay of Islands on a small sail boat without crowds or the smell of fuel. The crew Rachael and Luke provided great service giving drinks, lunch and snorkelling equipment. Just remember to sunblock your bare feet!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We did the Island Hopper cruise with Rachael and Luke, what a great experience. A nice leisurely trip out to the island with a touch of local history thrown in and mixed with tea and cookies.
Out at the island we had the opportunity to go snorkeling, paddle boarding or walking. Really good to learn about the cool work people up in the Bay of Islands are doing with Project Birdsong.
The trip back was nice and relaxing especially being taught the story behind "splice the mainbrace". The beer was very refreshing.
Cannot recommend this trip enough.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a lovely day out in the Bay of Islands on Luke’s catamaran. He is a great host and is very knowledgeable about the area. In particular the bird and marine life and NZ’s goal to be predator free by 2050. A portion of the cost is donated to the wildlife on the islands. We had a very curious pod of dolphins come over to check us out and then lunch on an island, a snorkel and bush walk. I saw a saddle back bird for the first time. A great rarity these days! Thank you Luke. Highly recommend this day trip. We’ll be back. Harald and Michelle

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great team, great experience! Definitely recommend. Rachel and Luke were awesome and we felt like kings and queens! We had the opportunity to snorkel and saw a stingray! The team also had stand up paddles available for the guests!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolutely wonderful day. Luke was a fab host, friendly, very informative and a very confident sailor. We had a lovely day on the boat and at the island snorkelling and paddle boarding. Luke suggested a walk over to the other side where we found a beach that looked like paradise! Couldn't have asked for a more perfect day! Would highly recommend to anyone!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A cool adventure... Bay of Islands was not it's usual blue sky day but we still had an awesome time sailing with the crew & the bonus of some beautiful dolphins alongside us. The lunch stop was great to paddleboard, lots of fish to see, a few laughs, good kiwi sandwich bag lunch, and knowledgeable hosts. Covid-protocols are well followed and they're keen for us to visit Northland! Not only do I recommend it (we went with our three teenagers), I'd also do it again. Thanks Barefoot Crew.
