β β β β β Unfortunately, the service wasnβt great, was a bit rude towards us and didnβt have a smile. Food on the floor that I had to ask to be picked up. The coffee was good, but then the food was an extremely long wait, for a less than good meal. Eggs were boiled past the point of hard and the bread was like water. Hash browns were dripping in oil. Not as good as you would expect.doesnβt live up to its reputation.

β β β β β We were at Poppies for dinner on Friday night. Three of us had Lamb Wellington and all three of us enjoyed them very much. The lamb was perfect it is making my mouth water just talking about it. The other members of our party were just as happy with there meals.
The service was great a very enjoyable evening all around.

So returned to Poppies after my last visit four years ago with my partner and we still love it. It's a quirky but simple cafΓ© that serves great food..pretty sure my salad came out of their garden that morning. Staff were friendly, quick and efficient. As mentioned I had the venison pie it was wonderful and definitely exceeded my expectations. We'll be back next time we need to escape our busy lives in Queenstown.

β β β β β The service and the food was beyond what I normally expect in a cafe. Our wait staff (a man with hair tied back) was very attentive and accommodating of our kids and the crem brΓ»lΓ©e looked like it was from an expensive restaurant

β β β β β Wow! Knock out performance from these guys! Food was amazing, service friendly, professional and smart. Classy local art work- not many places with a couple of Marilyn Webb pieces on the wall. Well worth it if you want a special meal out, we found it an upmarket restaurant the evening we were there. More Bistro than Cafe!
