★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed staying at this hotel!! My only regret about this facility is that I wish I could have had another night or two there to enjoy the town as well as the hotel. It was very retro, and I like retro, and was a breath of fresh air after being in so many contemporary and a little more upscale hotel's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location in the peaceful and beautiful Mackenzie Country. Its very central so makes for an excellent base camp where you can head off to many attractions like the stunning surrounding lakes and mountains. Awesome, friendly, knowledgeable staff, wonderful food and service. Decor is a bit dated bit no major issues. The room was clean and tidy. Great times were had by all!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very big room with a nice view. Was in room 14 which is close to reception and restaurant. Good and tasty food. What I miss in this place is a handheld shower. It was not really easy for me to take shower here. Limited toiletries in the room so be sure to bring your favorite product, just in case

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First room I was in was in need of a revamp, second room I was in had been revamped (re-modeled). Overall, comfort was good, room was warm with the heater (night store) going but did make a bit of noise during the night. Bar/Restaurant closed what seemed quite early on the night's were there (Friday / Saturday). Has nice open fire place to gather round, especially good in winter. Overall was a good place to stay and comfortable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed in room 65 last night and had a great visit. All the staff are lovely and the grounds are very tidy. The stone exterior is timeless though the interior is rather dated; not that we cared at all. Did not indulge in their restaurant or bar but we found the place to be ideal for families. Just off our room was a small lounge area at the end of the building that we used throughout the night so as one kid did not wake the other when up for a feed. The Wi-Fi is painfully slow so just used data. A great base if you're here biking & hiking - thank you very much for your hospitality, Mackenzie Country Hotel.
