★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great trip all round! We did the 3 day kayak trip, with a group of 11 and R&R were so helpful!! All the tips needed on packing, great beaches and spots to see, safety and paddling help. All necessary gear provided, and little extra miles like letting us charge our phones in the office and hold onto our car keys etc. SUCH a beautiful part of the country would recommend to anyone, and these guys definitely topped it off with hot showers at the end ??

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had such an amazing day on our Oar-some trip with R&R kayaks and our guide Jazz. From booking stage, communication was excellent. Rohan answered our questions promptly and even allowed us to change our booking day to avoid kayaking on the day Cyclone Dovi swept NZ. Rohan also allowed pick-up from our accommodation in Motueka. From the beginning to the end, our guide Jazz really looked after us and made us feel safe and comfortable. She is professional, fun, friendly and knowledgeable. The lunch was excellent. There were vegan croissants, fruits, caramel slices for dessert and also tea/hot chocolate/juice/coffee. The equipment is high-quality and easy to use. They also allowed us to modify our kayak time to finish slightly earlier due to another plan that we had. The kayaking pace and sightseeing just hit the spot and very doable even for beginners. We got lucky that R&R allowed us to modify so many things on our trip, mainly because we came during quiet season. However, even if your trip is during peak season, I have no doubt that they'll do their best to address your concerns and make you feel at ease. Hands down the best kayak group with the best value for money that I could recommend in the area. Thanks R&R team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ From A-Z absolute quality, personal service and can 100% recommend. We did the oar-some marine reserve trip and really enjoyed seeing the bays and lagoons around Abel Tasman. We saw heaps of seals and even a penguin! Our guide Tom was so capable and knowledgeable about the history and nature of the area which we really appreciated. Lunch was filled croissants, fruit and some slice plus tea and coffee which went down a treat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Highly recommend R&R Kayaks!!! They went above and beyond to get me out on the water as a solo traveller. Had an awesome morning paddling in the stunning Abel Tasman with guide Tom. He is super knowledgeable and made it a memorable experience. Seeing the park from a kayak really is a must do in the area. Couldn't have asked for a better experience, thanks team!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am gonna write a very fresh review, as I just finished our half day trip. It was wonderful, especially for the family. We were told by other companies,they don’t take young kids. We were lucky to find R&R, they have the family tour specific for the little ones. Today’s tour ended up with so much excitement and everyone enjoyed. My little girl kinda started to love paddling a bit. And she tried to tidy the transport van up afterwards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great group—strongly recommend. Friendly service, well-prepared, informed of the sport and the area. We did the Split Rock tour as a family of 4 with a 7 year old and 11 year old. It was the perfect length for us. Enjoyed the time on the water, seeing Split Rock up close, and casual time on the beach.
Consider: morning outings are likely better for kids, as afternoon winds tend to be strong.

Hats off to our guide Tom !! for taking extra care of us as we were struggling to get a head start into the ocean. Tom was very patient , took time to teach us the nuances and steered us through !!
