Good food and good customer service. Fresh chips and amazing burgers highly recommend the chicken burger. Lovely overall vibe while eating.

Edit: This is a "fake review" apparently, although looking at all the owner's other replies I think it's more that they don't like genuine criticism. I love trying new restaurants and eateries around Hamilton. The issue is generally you could find 10 restaurants, yet 7 of them serve the same dish, save for some small alteration. When I went to Refuel Jo, I thought they would do a few things but do those things really well. Unfortunately, it was just... Not nice. I hate being the "Karen" when I leave reviews, but this is asking for a bad review sadly. Mainly because of the customer service. It took *so long* to get the food yet it wasn't busy nor did the kitchen look occupied. It seemed they were just talking and hanging out. Saying some pretty nasty stuff very loudly too, which sorta killed the atmosphere. When the food came out, my burger was hot although my partners wasn't which doesn't make much sense... It wasn't really busy and we ordered at the same time; getting very similar things ("The 420" and "Double Angus Beef Cheese"). It wasn't very fresh either. The lettuce was almost sour and wilted; slimy. After bringing this up, apparently "that's all that's available this season, I guess you're happy to pay another $10 for better lettuce eh?"... I guess I understand supply issues and costs at the moment, but the tone was so rude and dismissive. I hate raising concerns when food isn't good; maybe you caught them on a bad night. That said their response sounded like "yeah that's our food, what do you expect?". When I'm starving I can eat almost anything... This has to be one of the first few times I've ever been starving and still not enjoyed a meal. Lastly... I went to leave this review and when I googled this place I saw the news articles and realised their terrible, self-loathing attitude. Who knows what I'll hear from them after writing this. The owner sounds like a person who pushes away who they are and uses hate to be the poster boy for a culture they don't understand. We're an inclusive nation. I can't take their opinions seriously... Especially when they're not contributing anything meaningful to this country. What makes them and their opinion so important? Two stars only because the place was very tidy. So that was good. Heaps of places I've gone have had flies all over the place and dirty floors, tables etc. This was clean... Just that nothing else was very good.
