β β β β β The new part of the hospital is nice, modern and good. but the old part is ugly, gross, dark and stinky. It looks abandoned. I felt scared for my life. The childrenβs ward is through there so poor them

β β β β β Failed to recognise a broken tibia on my FIL - after a wait of four hours and making him walk down the whole corridor despite terrible pain. Had they picked it up, it could have been fixed, now a knee replacement is the only option. Great job Rotorua hospital, hope you're proud of yourself.

β β β β β I was returning from Waikato Hospital by ambulance to Taupo Hospital. The ambulance stopped at Rotorua Hospital to transfer me to another ambulance. There were no ambulances available so the staff threw me out onto the street at 9.30pm and told me to find my own way home. Absolutely disgusting.
Radiology Department
Very difficult to get anyone to answer the phone. Then transferred to three different staff. None could answer a simple enquiry. They should have taken my enquiry, found the information I needed and phoned me back. Instead each person became very aggressive and kept making excuses. Patients don't want excuses they want proper professional service. People that just make excuses are really just trying to cover up their incompetence.
Previously I have been to TRG Imaging where the staff are pleasant and do a fantastic job.

β β β β β Hi, before we went into ED two ladies were sitting outside security nurse they told us to go into ED blah blah ,but never told us it was just the patient, we spoke to the nurse sitting at the desk gave I'm formation went and sat down to wait our turn , then my daughter went up to see another Lady that was sitting up at the desk , then she told my Gurl oh they have to get out and not wait for you Here, but then we just sat there and waited till my daughter got seen to then minutes later the Old lady is yelling out and saying you have to go , my husband looks at her but we just sat there ,now thats rude for a staff member telling us from the other side and yelling to us to go in front of other ppl that was waiting to get seen , unprofessional, my daughter finally got seen to to after so many hours of waiting till they sed she got admitted I feel they need to step up and sort out staff ,yesterday my Gurl got discharged I came up and gave her shower and hygiene wise shower was disgusting she had to put a towel down for her to sit on chair had old hair and the shower wall wasn't cleaned properly zone point for surgical ward,I wouldn't Wana go back there again .

β β β β β Excellent. I had an anaphylactic reaction and they let me straight through the ER. These people saved my life and did it for free. The bedding was conformable and they responded to the buzzer very quickly. Warm blankets and pillows were provided. Thank you for keeping me alive and well.

β β β β β Worst experience I had and don't want to give the one star. Waiting more than 2hours and just gave me some pain relievers for my injuries, did nothing about my swollen boil which has an absolute infection... NZ medical service is sooo disappointing...

β β β β β I give this place 5 STAR because a lady named carol fixed my broken leg one time and then she also fixed my broken arm another time. Iβd just like to say thanks carol and thanks Rotorua hospital for having me.
