β β β β β The museum is small but is jam packed with artifacts from around the area and showcases Russell's contributions to New Zealand early history and the part the area played in the formation of the nation. I'd say the $10 admission is worth it

β β β β β Lovely little museum to the history of Russell and the local region with lots of things to see and loads of interesting information. It's not every day you get to climb inside a cauldron once used to cook humans! Great little gift shop too.

A model for ancient ship, some valuable stones, big and small paddles with a large boat. There is a souvenir shop.

β β β β β Fantastic Museum and well worth the visit. Very friendly lady greeted us and we learned a lot about the early days of Russell KororΔreka once inside. Good video to watch while seated as a start and lots of historical items. We spent about one hour there, great if the weather was not good also. Parking near and free. Nice gift shop. Recommended if you have the time!

β β β β β Was very impressed with the presentation. Wonderful collection of history. Fabulous stories. Very friendly helpful staff. The replica of Endeavour is awesome, I can't believe a guy built it in 12 weeks.
