★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice and handy to Paihia village and shops , we moored our boat where we were able to do some shopping etc . While there is a few good jetties there ,it is hard to find one where you can casually moor a boat, as most moorings are designated. And there was no easily way of recognising them all without getting close . I'm grateful that it wasn't busy when we moored ,and were permitted to moor for longer than the specified restriction . I'm not sure what it would be like on a busy day , but it was the right time for us to visit Paihia ! For a casual mooring we found it by going around the left of the jetties to near the coastguard boat mooring .

The 'wharf' provides access to many and varied tourist sites and amenities. Other strollers in great spirits freely share smiles and friendly exchanges.
Plenty of exquisite eateries adjacent, and nearby. Paihia Wee Toilets minutes away at the South edge. A range of retail outlets and essential services moments walk away across the road as a part of Paihia CBD.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely harbour, amazing atmosphere. Lots of tours to do (dolphin tour, fishing trips, sailing inyh bay, paragliding) orjust swim at yhe beach. A short ferry across to Russell (can cross ferry in your car for 27 bucks). Shops are friendly with facilities and restaurants. Very cool place to chill ❤️
