★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Oh my goodness, what a gem of a place! I have been past here so many times but finally went in for dinner. It's a whole new world back there - literally like walking into Thailand. The food is delicious and the staff are lovely. Highly recommend for anyone who loves Thai food, atmosphere and culture.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Exceptional experience. Never seen a place like this in Auckland. Designed culturally and really sets a fun mood. Customer service was amazing, clean restaurant but I love how they went above and over the top to get the look. Only down fall was that I’m not the type of person to try different culture foods and I didn’t like the taste of anything. Keep up the good work Secret Garden Thai, 20 years and still going well.

Food is good, but the portion is small given the asking price for each dish.
Will return again for the Thai vibe.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I definitely would vouch for the service at this romantic Thai place. The waitresses were polite and the food service was also fast. In terms of food quality, I would say there are some hit and misses for me. The yummy omelette (Thai style) was definitely yummy indeed! The green curry was delicious but the pad thai was the showstopper! What was not to my liking was the pork salad. Some people may like it but for me it was more pork than it was salad. I also think some of the protein in the dishes can be a little more tender (the pork in the pork salad and the chicken in the green curry was a little tough). Other than that, the food portion was good so I would definitely come back and maybe try the other dishes. There is potential!
