★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Forget all these other reviews. My partner and I live nearby and we come in regularly. We split the combo meal and it’s plenty for the both of us. We love the chicken tiki masala! The vindaloo is also delicious. The naan bread is great, the chicken is wonderously cooked perfect every time, it takes less than 1 minute for us to get our food, and they are always friendly. Brb gonna go eat there for lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really disappointed in the butter chicken.. the sauce was delicious but the chicken was revolting... it tasted like rubber didn't look cooked and made me want to throw up.. got a naan bread that tasted stale and was hard.. didn't eat my food I was very disappointed

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We enjoyed eating here today!! The food looked good and authentic. We had the lamb Madras which reminded us of being back home. Best place we have had curry from so far. Would recommend the lime pickle on the side too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered chicken vindaloo and nan, portion size was really small and food taste not so good. Even after you wash for like four times the colour from the curry stays in your hand. Please don't use food colour to make food "Indian" make it taste better. Thanks ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got a Lamb Rogon Josh curry combo today for lunch.
I quite frequently have Shamiana for lunch when traveling. I've been to 2 other branches in the last month in Christchurch and they are fantastic.
This one however, was not.
The curry had no flavor, the meat was mostly inedible fat, rice was way over cooked.
If you're looking for a good lunch, look somewhere else.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I absolutely love my Ruby Murray, Curry it was delicious I would recommend. If you hungry to go and get a good feed lots of choices maybe try the Mild Mango Chicken, I really enjoyed the Butter Chicken dish with garlic and cheese naan bread and a drink of your choice and there's plenty of seating in the cafeteria it's nice and clean and Well kept by two ladies thank you for your service support local business.
