★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to be a regular customer of this cafe, a quiet place to work in the afternoons and a LOVELY lady staff member. Then couple of weeks ago I went there as usual to work in the afternoon around 4.15pm and was met with a really curt and rude male staff member. I was given my coffee in a paper cup even when I said I am having it at the cafe and was told they were about to close. As a regular customer I knew cafe closes at 6 and this was shortly after 4. I said I come here often at this time and get served in a cup. He said he has lots of things to do before closing in a very rude manner. I cannot imagine what he needs to do for the remaining almost 2 hours of store hours that would prevent him from giving me coffee in a normal cup. I still sat and worked there that day but since then every time I walked past in the afternoons I see the same male staff member so I have stopped going to this cafe since I expect to repeat this bad experience again. As a creature of habit I regret this a lot as I used to love the quiet time I spent working there after dropping my children to after school classes. Now I just get a coffee to go and work elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sierra is located at a very convenient location. You can go there inside the mall. The location is also beautiful in terms of the view. You can look outside and enjoy the sun and the lovely weather by sitting inside as there are glass windows. The service is fast and the staff is very kind and polite. There's usually good amount of food at the display cabinet and you can also order breakfast and meals which they make fresh. Coffee is absolutely brilliant and the environment is great for having a chat with a friend or any semi formal meetings. Price is quite reasonable for coffee however food is slightly on the expensive side. Food plus coffee with cost somewhere around $25-$28. I visit there frequently and surely recommend to all. Thank you for the great service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to Sierra in Hamilton Central today which is usually our go to place to enjoy a mocha and eggs Benedict. Today we were very disappointed as we had our covid vaccine passports scanned by a staff member that couldn’t even wear a mask and training a new staff member to serve at tables and that young girl didn’t wear a mask either. This was 11:55am and when I asked why there didn’t have masks on her answer was (we are meant to but were in to much of a rush this morning)
To top it off we paid for large mochas and got them in small glasses and they weren’t hot at all.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am now in Sierra cafe in centre place my sister is having a coffee. She says it is good it looks well made. I am having sparkling water Phoenix brand which is yummy. But I am also having a raw energy ball which has no cacao in it which I like. This cafe is more suited for consideration of comfort the chair is very comfortable as I have hip issues. Staff are pleasant and worth a visit

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Uninterested rude server with absolutely no manners, no smiling and no thank you. ?♂️
It gets worse though- asked him if there is sugar in the coffee- no response recieved- gets a cup of sugar packets and thumps them on my table.
I'm guessing it's the same person the other reviewers have described as a "male" employee in relation to their lack of civility.
Coffee was good, but won't be here again for sure.
