Urge-the coffee & tea boutique, is an award winning retail store and cafe situated in the Hamilton CBD. This business has been running for over 60 years, and has been trading as Urge since December 2001.
Urge has over 10 different coffee blends and roasts which can be sold as beans or ground coffee. Because of our large customer base, we also make up recipes to suit the individual. Urge coffee beans are roasted by the second largest roaster in New Zealand. Only the finest AA graded beans are used to ensure quality and continuity of the coffee. We also have blends designed specifically for the hospitality market. Our large selection of teas which range from the traditional black, to the exotic fruit infusion flavours, are available either in loose leaf or bagged form, or in kilogram cafe lots.
Urge is proud to specialise in Dunoon English Fine Bone China. We have the largest range in Hamilton, getting shipments from England every year. The tea cups, mugs, breakfast cups, demitasse cups and storage jars are surpassed by none.
We also sell the other brands of coffee & tea mug, pot, jar, container and more.
We are retailer of NZ Tea Total Tea, NZ Tea Leaf Tea , Organic Zealong Tea and Harney & Sons.

โ โ โ โ โ BEST coffee cafe in the whole of new zealand. the ambience, the chic set up and the many fine china, tea and coffee beans sold here is BEAUTIFUL.
BUT MOST OF ALL. The customer service here is unmatched by any retailer/hospitality facilities I have been to in NZ. They surely know how to make you feel welcome. Although it gets busy at lunch, somehow they make the cafe feel like its not overwhelming with people or they are too busy to stop and talk to you (which is never the case). After two visits here they have somehow learnt the drink orders of everyone in my office. AMAZING!!!!

โ โ โ โ โ I've been here a few times. Great place for a coffee when you're going along main Street.
They have a selection of different coffee beans to chose from, and provide a consistently good coffee to match their selection. There is some cabinet food, kitchen food, as well as chocolate truffles to pick from for food.
I personally got a flat white and loved it. My friend got the mocha pictured and as you can see, they also present their drinks well.

โ โ โ โ โ A nice cafรฉ with great ambiance and decor; definitely made me wants to linger. The staff members are friendly. Their coffee is great and reasonably priced. Parking can be a challenge, as not many public street parking spaces in the area.

โ โ โ โ โ Really good coffee and delicious scroll. Sat outside on a sunny. covid morning. Very quiet and peaceful (strangely). Look forward to the return of hustle and bustle, but was nice to have good food and excellent service.
