★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a great spot! Lovely, friendly service. Good coffee. Both breakfasts were delicious. The mushrooms on toast with fried egg was amazing as was the brioche French toast. Lovely sitting out in the sun on the balcony.

Party of two for Breakfast, both meals were plentiful and delicious. Service was friendly and efficient.
Atmosphere was very pleasant and the establishment was very clean.
Highly recommend and I'll be going back for more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place, did a drive through of Kaikoura. Came back to Sime's Kitchen as it head great street appeal. We weren't disappointed. Coffee was great, food was amazing. I had ham hock Benedict, so many great flavors in one breakfast. Staff were absolutely awesome. The whole place exceptionally clean n tidy.

I loved how welcoming and friendly all the staff were.
Menu was a bit different to what you find every where else, thumbs up for that.
The food was incredible and the portions very generous for the $ you paid.
I had the cornbread with poached eggs, it was to die for.
I’m always very picky with my coffee but this place definitely serves a good cup of coffee.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Friendly enough staff, coffee is OK, my first one I had here wasn't nice but this time I asked for specific things and it was perfect however both times I came here to get take away coffee and muffin. The muffins are dry.. the muffin I had today is more like a raisin scone. And I needed butter to make it nice. I had a strawberry and white chocolate muffin last time and there was just a bit of raspberry and chocolate in the bottom so the rest of the muffin was just muffin. Nicer than the one I had today though.

Cornbread and thick cut Bacon with fried egg looked great but wanted some thing to balance out the deep-friedness.
Avo and Tomato with poached egg was great, love the additions of the seeds.
Had a few brown stringy avo bits thru it, but other than that tasted good, fresh and light.
Overall a great lil cafe with good service! Plenty of outdoor seating. Would recommend for anyone travelling to Kaikoura.
