★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We picked the Beach House Cafe based on the previous Google reviews, and I'm glsd to say that we weren't disappointed.
The service was very good and the staff that we encountered were knowledgeable regarding the menu, and the dishes on it, there was plenty of flexibility within the options for gluten free and lactose intolerant diners.
The food arrived in a timely fashion and was well presented and cooked, the eggs were nice and runny and the bacon was well cooked; and not flabby! The bread was a nice dark multi grain that was a pleasing change from the usual "cotton wool" white bread served in the majority of establishments.
We finished our meal off with well made long black coffees made with Supreme coffee.
All in all a good experience, and just as an added bonus, the building is a nicely laid out old house with plenty of quirky spaces that are nicely decorated, and everything was clean and tidy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have just finished lunch (10 of us) before heading home to Christchurch. Can't speak highly enough about the food and service! I'm pretty picky about seafood chowder but the chowder I just ate was absolutely delightful! Service was friendly and with 10 of us on ANZAC day I was surprised with how fast our food came out. Great job team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful cafe with delicious coffee and delicious food. The interior design was cute and relaxed and there was a fire keeping us cozy. I really enjoyed the vegan stack and my friend enjoyed her eggs benedict. Highly recommend ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is charming little place. Well I say little, it is really quite big. It consists of a series of attractively layed out, small rooms giving an atmosphere of intimate nooks and cranies. The food is pretty good to, I had potatoe and bacon salad for lunch. Very tasty.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had been looking online for menus for crayfest and we came across the crayfish bene here. It looked amazing online (as most dishes do) but boy it looked even better on the plates infront of us! This is honestly probably the best breakfast we have ever eaten out! Also had to grab a crayfish spring roll take away as the look so beautiful and fresh! The staff were so friendly and helpful too. Deffineltly be stopping here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best hotcakes I’ve ever had. They were buttery and fluffy, with beautifully grilled banana on top. Staff were happy to swap the cream for yogurt which was delicious with the coulis. Couldn’t taste any chocolate in my mocha but it was nice. Lovely sunny courtyard and great atmosphere.
