โ โ โ โ โ Purchased several bags of items and 3 days later price went down, a total price difference of around $300 occurred.
Spoke to representatives in store about price difference.
โOh no you will not get the difference refund.โ
Me: Fine, can I return them? 30 days full refund return.
โyes you can return them.โ
Me: If I like them I can purchase these at a lower price.itโs the same thing as a price difference refund.
โNO, you can NOT repurchase them after return.โ
โWhy not? If someone return it they of course can repurchase again? Even online.โ
โOh no, we have a way of telling that, you canโt repurchase them after you return them.โ (Huh???)
So for those who shops at smith and caughey, you canโt return items and repurchase them again according to this.
Spoke to the online support who initially said no refund, she looked at my purchase date and eventually refunded. She only handled one of my orders and the rest of the order was not even traceable online.(I gave them my account details at the check out everytime somehow nothing is showing in my order history)
At this point I am just very done. Knowing Iโll be given nonsense again if I spoke to someone face to face in store, I gave up and considered sharing the experience that went wrong on different levels.
Shocking to experience how inconsistent your service can be and how old your system is.
Itโs not 1970 anymore. The market place is changing, adapt or you will lose customers.

โ โ โ โ โ After purchasing an item last week I returned to exchange the correct size. Sent from 1 counter, to another, then back to the original counter. It took approximately 15 minutes for two very confused staff members to complete the exchange. Unbelievably poor service. I wonโt start on the drunks lingering outside. No wonder retail is dying !

โ โ โ โ โ Cool store with great stuff. Always found the staff to be friendly and very professional. I'm usually here with the fams after eating and drinking across the road, so a full belly and slight buzz makes it fun. Nearly always buy something I didn't need. Lol.

โ โ โ โ โ Such a nice building and such enjoyable shopping experience where all quality items and clothing ranges are displayed immaculately . There can be some good sales here too. The restrooms are divine. Also it's a good place to just hang out if u need a minute.

โ โ โ โ โ 3pm - 12 March 2022. Look at the Filthy hand sanitizer station at S&C's front door Queen St Auckland entrance! Absolutely disgusting! Would not touch this with a barge pole! Clean up this mess please! This is days old and don't even try to say this is cleaned daily. This horrid mess in a supposed top end dept store?????? Solution: Bottle of Windex, paper towels, 1 person who cares about health and cleanliness of the store entrance hand sanitizer stations!

โ โ โ โ โ ??? Love Love and Love. I absolutely love shopping and every time I am at Smith & Caugheyโs, time just flies. They have all the high end brands to choose from whether it is apparel, cosmetics, dining, home decor, kids stuff & many many more categories. The staff are really friendly & polite. Customer service is excellent. My husband and I enjoy shopping here and if you need a break, their Cafe on level 3 is superb. Highly recommend ?????

โ โ โ โ โ Loved the Santa experience. We have never been before. It was a lovely way, despite the rain, to bring joy to the end of a year in lockdown. Santa was friendly and talkative despite my two suddenly turning shy. Must book in advance.
