★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What a great find hidden across the road from the Sculpereum. Great service, friendly staff and awesome Gluten Free menu. Great for celiacs with a special deep fryer for GF only. Happy to find this place as a great middle of the road place to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had lunch with a couple of friends here and we decided to share some plates. Though the place is a bit pricey, the food was pretty amazing. Every item off the menu we had was excellent and the staff were accomodating (a member of our party has a nut allergy) and helpful. There's a good variety of shareable plates.

The staff were all lovely and attentive with good recommendations on menu choices.
Can’t wait to come back here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thoroughly enjoyed our experience of Smiths last night, what an absolute gem of a find. Tucked out of the way in the lovely town of Matakana. Ambiance, hospitality, food, all 5 star. We loved the little outdoor DJ booth and open fires. The staff went out of their way to chat to us and make sure our meal was perfect. Would recommend a stroll on the very lovely Omaha beach, just 5 minutes away by car. We’ll definitely be revisiting Smiths. Thank you for the perfect end it our weekend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely food and the service was really great. They phoned to ask if we d adjust our booking their slightly. On arrival we were all really impressed with the food and the setting. The staff were all really friendly and accommodating and came to check on us a few times. I thought the prices were totally reasonable and in line with the high quality food. Would happily go here and again and happy to recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great dinner with friends on Friday night. Mike the manager is great, really friendly and helpful. We kept the bar busy with cocktails. Chicken karage is a must.
