β β β β β Just wanted to rent some bouldering pads, but the man at the desk who seems to have worked there for a while was pretty dang rude to my wife and I. Not very smylie ;) It felt pretty weird because most people in NZ and in the climbing comm. are usually pretty chill. If I was going to go again I would check out the place across the street that was also offering pad rental.

β β β β β Did not stay, booked 2 bouldring mats on the way to Castle Hill and returned them the day after. They were generous on the return time and really lovely staff to deal with. Note, they do take a deposit or copy of credit card to rent the bouldering mats.

β β β β β Stayed here on our Te Araroa adventure. Very cosy place with a nice funny cat.
Room is confortable. Amenities are clean, kitchen is well equipped. Loved the interior design.

β β β β β Great value, big unit. Meticulously cleaned & comfortable. Big shower, good kitchen. Even had crystal wine glasses (posh). We stayed in the dog friendly motel unit. Thanks Colin for a pleasant stay. We will stay again if passing through Springfield again. Great little pub with excellent steak meals just down the road.
