★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went for high tea with friends. Great view, great service, and great food. Love their variety of drinks, teas and most of the sweet and savoury items were delicious. Definitely going again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We decided to treat ourselves to a single night stay at this luxury hotel. While the room was fine except a slightly dodgy shower, the service from front desk and the restaurant was well below the standard you'd expect. While the hotel seemed relatively quiet, we had to queue for decent periods to check in, and to get seated for breakfast. When waiting to check in, we were told that an attendant would get us from a waiting area. Instead, another couple grabbed our spot and we had to intervene to ask to go first. The breakfast service was disorganised. We waited with 10 or so other guests, no welcome, no menus to look at. I don't blame the staff - I blame the process and training. There was no allocated maitre d, it seemed everyone was doing everything. I would have been disappointed with this service from a 3 star hotel, let alone a luxury hotel that prides itself on making you feel special. I understand hotels have had a rough time, and all workplaces are under staffing pressures by covid, but these issues did not relate to covid. They relate to having well trained staff with clear processes to follow. We won't be back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In my view, not a 5 star hotel and not worth anywhere $330 per night for the following reasons:
- no staff present at or near entrance to hotel, maybe 80% of the time over my 3 days. No one was there to help with luggage when I arrived;
- calls to reception/concierge went unanswered on 5 out of 6 calls
- wifi does not work properly and appears to be insecure. All casting devices throughout hotel could be accessed from my device
- Accor Plus benefits were not honoured
- rooms are extremely close (approx 12 metres) from other residential apartments so had to keep curtains closed the entire stay due to very low privacy
Accompanying restaurant was very good though. Room was clean and well appointed
This is really a 4 star hotel and it should be priced at $250 per night. I wish I had know about the lack of privacy before

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Luxury and elegance with a French flair in an outstanding location. Food was a bit pricey but its completely understandable for the service provided. Will definitely be back here. Great work Sofitel.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing weekend away. Staff were unreal, went above and beyond to make us feel like we were living in luxury. Only thing I didn’t like was our room was above the bus depot so was quite noisey and felt like I couldn’t properly chill without the blinds being down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed a night as a special treat for my 30th birthday. Staff were great, champagne and a chocolate tart left in our room to wish me a happy birthday made me feel very special. Champagne bar made us great cocktails. Hotel was clean, overall a great stay

Spacious room with fancy amenities.
Pool and spa are charming.
La Marré restaurant is wonderful, and need a post just for it.
