★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Update: New owner took over one day before lockdown in Sept 2021. We bought takeaways and it was just as good. Love the KFCs, beef bulgogi, spicy squid. Looking forward to dining in when lockdown is lifted.
Very friendly and inviting environment. Have had several dinners there and will continue to visit them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came to SongDo restaurant one evening craving for Korean soup. Me and my partner ordered two 돼지국밥 (Pork Bone Soup) and were pleasantly surprised. The soup was rich while being lean, and it was easy to tell that they actually brewed their soup using pork bones (which is tiresome process). From that first sip was enough to tell me the owners really cared about the food they made. If they put this much effort into one soup, its a sign they do the same for other menu as well.
I have lived in Browns Bay for over 12 years and have not visited SongDo much. My prior experience had been mostly negative, but the new management and the food was easy enough to change my preconceptions. I will definitely be visiting back again with my partner, "hungry for more" ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have eaten here numerus occasion since the new owner took over. The eatery is clean, tidy, simple and not pretentious.
It provide good honest food by good people.
The cold noodle and the katsu set is to die for.
Fried chicken is crunchy, fluffy while juicy inside.
Strongly recommended, I have heard rumors that they are getting a license soon.
I am keen for getting back there and get my rice wine with cold noodle.
Top choice.

New management, the place looks brighter. We got fried chicken, squid legs (fried squid), spicy beef stew, vege bibimbap, and pork backbone stew. Recommend the squid and chicken. Light crispy batter! The bibimbap was average not a lot of variety in vegetables. Beef stew was not very generous either around 4 bits of beef. The pork bone stew was redeeming, hefty, hearty and SPICY. Watch out if you can’t handle heat! The side dishes were lovely, their kimichi is one of the best I’ve had. A much smaller menu since changing hands but its good to try new things
2020 review:
The fried chicken is a must-have! The spicy sauce is great but I suggest going half with and half plain! The Kalbi is too saucy for my liking! It should be a seared! Yummy side-dishes that are refillable! Self service water service! Pancake is not bad, but would prefer more crispiness!
