Really frustrated. The Glasses I got were gold frames and the plating is wearing off on the ends of the glasses. The material under the frames has caused welts on the tops of my ears that never go away. Specsavers claim that it is an allergic reaction and they are not responsible. I advised them that I have never had any issues until the plating started wearing off and got the gold in the first place as I knew I didn’t have issues with gold jewellery in the past. I went into the store and they claimed they just needed adjusting, but this didn’t help. I then contacted specsavers via the website 2 x and never got a response. Tried another Avenue and contacted them via Facebook. Finally got an email back. They claimed the glasses were out of warranty, which they aren’t. Specsavers should stand by their quality guarantee - β€˜If within 2 years of purchase, your glasses have any defects relating to material or production faults we will repair or replace them for you, free of charge.’ Specsavers please respond to my emails I have contacted you a number of times now and have followed the requirements under section 12 of your terms and conditions for refunds. The gold plating should not be wearing off after 1 year. Specsavers will comment on this saying they are sorry and ask me to go to the feedback link. I have already done this…

Amazing service from the team at Specsavers Riccarton. Lyns was understanding and patient as I tried on frame after frame, until I was sure of a decision. She went above and beyond with helping me to select my new frames, claiming what she could through my southern cross and also by explaining to me the best ways to purchase my contact lenses, all while having to process everything manually due to a computer issue. Thank you Lyns and the team for making my experience so enjoyable!

Nothing but positive things to say about my experience here. From the moment I walked in the door I had amazing friendly service. At my second appointment I had Cinty and she made sure I felt super welcome and made sure everything was fitting perfectly. All questions were answered and she made sure I understood everything thoroughly. Would definitely recommend!

In these stressful COVID times where peoples frustrations are beginning to show I can’t speak highly enough of the professionalism, friendliness and outstanding service received when choosing and ordering new glasses at spec savers Westfield Riccarton. Nothing was a problem for Megan when I visited and changed my mind three times on what glasses I wanted and what script in each. She was very personable and openly raves about her job. Love seeing this! I even changed my mind 10 mins after leaving and rang to chat. I went back the next day to confirm my change and took my husband and she sorted him out as well with the very same professionalism and super service. It was like we were old friends. My husband couldn’t quite work out why I was telling him how great she was until he met her too. The new store is so much more spacious and private compared to before and overall was an awesome experience. Can’t wait till we pick up our glasses in a few weeks.

My visit to Specsavers was a very pleasant one! Being my first time getting glasses I was a bit nervous about finding the right pair for me, though the staff were very kind and friendly. Peter who works there was particularly helpful with an eye for detail and aesthetics which made the process a lot easier! I walked away with 2 pairs of glasses to alternate between, which I love and I cannot wait to wear!

I don't normally do these reviews, but I felt that I needed to after going to this store in November '21. I have been wearing glasses for years, and this is the first time I am genuinely happy with the outcome. The optometrist, David, was incredibly attentive, he paid attention to what I use my glasses for and the issues I was having. He kept tinkering with the script to make my vision the best it could be - it didn't feel rushed at all. I'm incredibly impressed with the outcome. I don't think I have ever been able to see as well as I can now!!! The assistant, Lynsey, who helped me pick out my glasses was incredible too! She knew what I had in the past and understood that I wanted to make a change but not a drastic one. She was very friendly and patient and gave me some honest and encouraging feedback. She explained why the glasses I was trying on were a good fit and not just saying that they look "nice" or "fine". I felt confident in my order, and I was happy that I listened to her advice because the glasses turned out amazing and I feel great wearing them - exactly what I was after!!! All the staff that I interacted with were lovely and professional. Never had a better experience getting glasses. I will certainly be going back to Riccarton Specsavers and telling everyone I know to go as well. Keep it up and thanks again!

Hi guys, great save with my first time progressive glasses. I had wondered when ordering if I needed to go with thinner lenses, was assured it would be easy to change to them if needed. Later, once they arrived, over the phone, it seemed to not be the case but once I got into the shop, Aiden and the manager were brilliant in sorting things out. Thank you so much for making it such a positive experience. Can’t wait for my new thinner glasses!
