Worst Indian ever! Tastless muck. Waited nearly an hour for mains with only 6 people in restaurant. Naan was the only good thing. Won't be back.

Worst Indian food ever eaten in New Zealand, the food was full of colour , without any flavour & taste. Ordered the basic Indian curries (dal makhani, chicken tikka, rogan josh). Total waste of money.

My friends and I got the butter chicken (medium spice) with garlic naan after a long day of tramping...worst Indian food we've ever had. The sauce tasted like Watties, it seemed like the chicken was the microwaved, the naan tasted like nothing and the everything was so bland we had to salt it. For kiwi's this is a great meal, bland and full of tomato sauce...for us North Americans we had to toss it in the bin after a few bites. And as I type this we just found a hair in the rice! This made me feel bad for cheating on my usual Indian place back in Palmy. Such as a bummer :(

Not tasty. Ordered chicken tikka masala and to my surprise it came with uncooked onions and lot of colour. Not happy at all. Waste of money.

First I found the person attending to us (could be the owner) very aggressive. She thought she was a better judge of how much we (a family of four ate). We got a complimentary bowl of rice for the first curry ordered. But the next bowl was charged even though there were 2 more curries ordered. They have a policy 1 bowl of rice complementary per table. Declined to give us masala tea {I was told the kitchen was busy}. When I asked for a barista Oat milk coffee, I received a cup of instant coffee made with regular milk in a small paper cup that could not hold shape and half of its content just spilled out and the cap would not sit anymore. Over all a very bad experience as a customer. This was a sour point of an otherwise beautiful family vacation, We will never go back.

I had eaten at this restaurant about 6 years ago when I stayed in Whakatane. I recall it was a good experience and I decided to revisit when passing through in 2022. The service was OK, and I received my meal quickly on an evening that was not busy. The meal was however a big disappointment. I ordered Tikka Chicken Masala which came with chunks of onion, small pieces of chicken, and had little taste.

(If you are reading this, I will give you straight up…don’t go) One of the worst restaurant that I have been to. Pathetic ?service, disgusting ? food and impolite servers. It felt like they didn’t serve the food but threw food at the table. We had to wait for more than one hour for appetizers and another hour for mains. I’d have hoped the service would be good after the restaurants are open post Covid.
