★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had the $11 lunch meal great deal for any curry of your choice, plain naan, and rice and papadam. Meals are nice lovely spices garlic chicken although a little hot for my taste bubs (mild) was still delicious will definitely dine here again. Staff and nice and friendly.

Really enjoyed the samosas, i have never tried samosas not from a frozen microwave meal, so that was really nice. They were vegan as well
The portions are very generous, and the prices are reasonable. The food tasted fresh and homemade. I wish there were more vegan options on the menu, however they were happy to make daal makhani dairy free
Would definitely come back to try other meals on the menu, it was a good experience
Taking away one star for the styrofoam takeaway container ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sorry guys but the mild butter chicken we had tonight was more like sugar with the looks of curry i wouldn't buy that Ever again and the naan bread was stale maybe try your own food before serving? Try to the right taste you need ballance there was none tonight had to chuck it away First and last for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm sure the food is lovely, however we were put off way before we could even try. Rang the bell for service, no one appeared, so rang again. Heard a VERY grumpy woman say (loudly) "Yeah I'm coming!". She appears and my husband asks for a table for four, her answer was "Yup." Grabs some menus and walks off. We were hella unimpressed so told her no thank you and went elsewhere.
I understand people have bad days, and waiting tables is a tough gig anyway (I know, I've been there), but this was pretty damn bad.
I gave it two stars because the place was clean and the food did smell amazing, so maybe worth a try another time :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to this restaurant the lady wasn’t in mood to give response and we went at 8:15 pm we were with our baby and really trying to find Indian food and she said we closing at 9 pm and we can’t stay longer than 9 pm she needs to start her cleaning. We came from Auckland and we’re staying in whakatane the restaurant timings were to close at 9:30 pm at google so we can clearly understand they don’t want to serve. We never expected that kind of such a rubbish experience ever.
KOPEO INDIAN RESTAURANT served us and good service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best Butter Chicken I've ever had! Google maps gave us a bit of a run around though. Led us to where you can't park. Best to just go into the New World/Warehouse carpark. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Whakatane.
