★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great truly local experience. Stu was just amazing not only fishing but also as a guide. It’s a great option to get nice views around Queenstown and have some fun fishing. We got 3 salmon and a trout and took two for dinner! Totally worth the money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Thank you Stu for such a great fishing trip! Your friendliness and helpfulness, especially with novices like my son and myself, is much appreciated. For those reading this, my son and I caught 5 fish (2 salmons, 2 brown trouts and 1 rainbow trout) in a 2 hour trip, despite bad climate conditions. Stu also got the fish cleaned (scaling them off and gutting them as well). Great job Stu!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic way to spend 4 hours out on Lake Wakatipu (Queenstown, New Zealand). Stu was an excellent host, very knowledgeable of fishing in the area, and knowing the right locations where fish would be biting, moving the boat to different locations on the lake as necessary to ensure we would catch some fish and have a great time. All equipment was provided and set up so that all aboard had an enjoyable experience - casting and reeling in. Stu was very hospitable, providing morning tea on the boat and sharing many interesting and funny stories as it related to fishing and the area in general and was very keen to answer any questions you had, and he was very friendly too. Bundle up, bring a windbreaker/light coat to the boat (yes, even in the summer months), it gets really windy out there on the water.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our family of four enjoyed three hours fishing with Stu, and especially enjoyed his big boat with heated cabin as it was windy and snowing on the lake. The views were spectacular in sunny spells between the snow squalls. The fish were lazy, maybe because of the cold, but Stu persevered with one spot after another, and we managed a total of 2 salmon, one brown trout and one rainbow trout, plus a small trout we threw back because we had enough for a good dinner. We took them to the pub Stu recommended, and the cook did a great job baking them in foil with lemon and herbs and salt. A memorable afternoon....thanks Stu for your hard work, good company and local stories.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I went out on beautiful Lake Wakatipu last Friday with Stu. The weather was fantastic, the lake nice and calm, and the fish were biting! Chris (partner) was very happy as he got quite a few salmon. We would totally recommend the fishing experience with Stu - he is very knowledgable of all the good fishing spots on the lake and obviously loves what he does!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I went out on the lake with Stu last week and had an excellent time. We were worried to start with as the fish just wouldn't bite but eventually we got some salmon and trout. Stu was very knowledgeable about the area and had plenty of stories to fill in the time between bites. I recommend trying Stu's fishing out regardless of your ability. All of your equipment is provided for you so it's hassle free. You will also get to see some eels when you come back into the dock which is an interesting experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had an amazing time with Stu during our fishing stint. There are some people who treat their jobs as a means of living but for Stu, he truly is passionate about fishing! He went the extra mile to ensure we do go back disappointed and fish-less!
Unassumingly patient and friendly, he totally puts us at ease with his vast experience in this sport/hobby and he is definitely THE GUY whom you want to go fishing with at Queenstown. He also advises us much on the nice restaurants and scenic spots nearby, which is a bonus!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stu is by and far the best fishing charter service you can use in Queenstown. My wife and I enjoyed a 3 hour charter with Stu and enjoyed every moment of it. Stu is very personable and friendly and will put you on fish quickly. He is very knowledgeable and friendly and offers a great talking companion while waiting for a fish to bite. Be sure to ask him about his dog Ted, the "Gold Digger."
