Want odd? Want to see life off the grid? Anyway, different and on the way. Stop and see it for yourself. We stayed 10 min.

Who would have thought pigs could be do great. The kids will love it. But you may have to explain the 'piggy back game' some of the pigs play.

My favorite spot in all of New Zealand. Why even visit the Coromandel if you're not going to visit them? Drive slowly. Don't kill or steal the pigs. Don't make bacon jokes.

Stuart and the pigs is for not native NZ tourists an original surprise. In the Netherlands, pigs are a product in huge barns. Here we were warned with a sign saying "Pigs crossing". The animals have a real goos live here and can cross the street and live their life as it is used to be!

When someone told me to watch out for the pigs on the road around from coromandel, I didn't understand what they ment. But halfway down this gravel road you will come across a great heard of pigs, wandering around the farm and all over the road. The owner is very friendly, old kiwi bloke with a few stories to tell and a good heart. His collection of farm animals is a pleasant stop to behold, and the baby porkers are sure to please someone in your car for a cuddle.

If you're not lucky enough to turn up when Stuart's there, it's just a bunch of pigs on the side of the road (and occasionally on it). Still, very cute and friendly pigs.

Stuart is such a nice guy. The wife and I drove by on the way to the waterfall, and he (and his dog) had kind words about us visiting, and the pigs seem so happy! Worth a chat and visit. Drive slow!

Big fan of pigs but unfortunately not the best experience! This place looks like it has gone down hill a bit, the fences were all broken and pigs were eating cardboard scraps on the floor… Lots of sand flies so bring insect repellent if you want to step out of the car. There were still cute little piglets running around and they would run away if you try to pet them.
