★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice and tidy retirement village where my grandmother lives. Nice and friendly people, however the cafe their could be much better, especially since this is most of the villagers place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It must be 8-10 weeks, or more, since I phoned to enquire about respite care. I left a voicemail on the Friday and followed up with a visit that weekend where I filled out a form. I have not heard a word. Ironically the lovely person who took me around the facility mentioned that if I wanted care urgently that there was only one unit available.
In my 15 - 20 minute tour of the "Care area" I saw only one caregiver outside of admin, but many in the admin area. Perhaps there were some actually in the rooms with their patients?
This was a disappointing experience and as a result a facility that I could not recommend.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ AAA++ This place was a wonderful home for my Mum for 5 years where she received the best care especially during her final years of life in the Care Centre. A friendly, welcoming place to visit and be made to feel so at home too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Although clean and well presented, the level of support for the residents is appalling! If there is help available, then the resident is charged a huge sum of money! Wouldn't touch the place with a barge pole!! Summerset simply use elderly residents as cash cows all the way from capital gains to simple bed making services.

No where for residents that live in the apartments to wash their cars(that I'm aware of) loverly setting, grand entrance, lot of things for residents to do and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Beautiful grounds and walking tracks by the sea and of course the historical Clark house is a must see ?
