Worst service ever. I was the only guy waiting for a burger and it took them 30 minutes to make it. Just got my burger and it doesn't even have any vegetables. Only lettuce and ripped up old chicken. Why would you not tell me that it will take at least 30 minutes?. I can in this store especially because I would except that it would only take 3 minutes to make my burger when no one was waiting. They even got the other people's orders wrong. Didn't even apologize to me that it took 30 minutes to make a chicken burger that only has a pre-cooked chicken meat, Toast a bread and lettuce with sauce. That to me only takes 2-3 minutes max. Never coming here again.

Asked for crumbed fish rather than battered and they were happy to oblige. The chips were really great and we'll seasoned and cooked. Only let down was the price of their pork crackling and the pineapple fritter didn't have enough sugar on it. Probably going to be our new flat takeaway spot though! ?

I bought some combination meat fried rice the other day and it looks as though it had very little effort put into making it. The only vegetable was peas and it had two different colour of rice which makes it seem like they threw in left overs from someone else's order. Didn't taste nice and the rice was soft and started mushing together.

The Hubbs & I have come here quite a bit for an easy dinner after grocery shopping. The chicken LOOKS delicious, though, you have to peel off what should be the tasty bit as advertised, Golden Crunchy chicken!! So you lose the crispy skin & batter. I don't know how they get the outside to NOT look burnt, yet it is completely overcooked, in my case unfourtunately, LITERALLY a tooth breaker..twice!! it's that rock hard!!.. I've never tried any other pieces, only thighs, but usually once you peel off the outer layer the flesh on the inside is really juicy. IF, they've "only just" cooked it. If you, like we have about half our visits, get a piece that has been sitting in the warmer for a while, you'll end up with a chicken thigh that is half dry, completely devoid of juices, which I thought was impossible for a thigh piece of deep fried chicken?? On the other hand, their roasts are really good.. like a 6/10 good. You have to ask for more gravy though, repetitively, as they obviously think people don't like more than a tiny spoonful that doesn't cover much.. I usually have to say "ahh.. can you add more gravy please, I asked for it to the top and you said ok..." about 4 or 5x times which just makes you wanna jump the counter to just do it yourself & is embarrassing with other customers around. Nope... they've also never heard of customer service. If you unfourtunately get the Polynesian girl who looks 25 but is prob 16 & has the most vacant stare I've ever seen + a weird inability to close her mouth.. just hangs open. ANYWAY, my point being, if she is working the til make sure you tell her what you want, slowly & VERY clearly, ask her to repeat back to you what you just said.. & when you get your order CHECK EVERYTHING, because I guarantee something/s missing or has not been done correctly or you have something you don't want & don't have something you ordered. Buyer beware with this place but we still go for the roasts as pretty generous with meat.

i ordered a steak burger from these takeaways and was given a roast beef burger. was literally the worst burger i ever had dry and tasteless. Also it would be really helpful if the lady behind the counter could speak a little english i had to repeat chicken burger 6-7 times. it was the first time i have ordered from this paticular lady the rest of them are all good. also last thing is how much is the chicken thighs. theres 4 different prices but they always charge $5 which is way too expensive personally. west auckland has large fried thighs for $3

A couple of weeks ago, I ordered a fish and a chip and also 3 golden potato. Whilst waiting for the order I went to the liquor store next door and came back 5 minutes later to pick the order up. Went back home and opened the wrap and golden potato was missing. I went there again just now to buy some food. I ordered some chips and golden potato and asked the girl behind the counter jot to forget the potato this time. No apologetic attitude at all. Thought they didn't understand what I was saying. When the order came out I asked her if everything is in the pack and this girl took my food back and poured them into a empty bowl and put them back into the back without saying nothing. What I'm trying to say here is... Never expect a proper customer service attitude here. Even if they don't answer your question, ignore you or act real rude, that's what these people are. Really disappointing though as I'm a regular customer who's been buying their food for years and years

This place is close to Countdown. Soo,save money and buy drinks, breads and sauce etc from supermarket. The golden roast potatoes are usually nice from here @60 cents each, if you get a hot/warm one. I tried the country fried thighs and the skin almost broke my teeth. They were over cooked, cold and not coated well. The display food is usually cold and old and sits there all day. $5 dollars chips here is very minimal and won't go far. The fish is always dry and over cooked. The only positives for me about this store is the multiple free car parks, you can dine inn, there located by Countdown and a fresh produce store, there Fried rice and the fact they do smorgasbord, but get it early when it's fresh.

This place is a local go-to for me, and I will continue to go. Delicious food across the board, but you do get what you pay for, so read other reviews and go in with your eyes open! Egg burgers are a fave, probably avoid the roasts as they're a bit dry, Chinese food is amazing (egg foo yung a fave!). Fish a good size but sometimes double deep-fried so can be a bit solid. Hoping their buffet opens up again soon!
