Thank you for organising the wines for my friends birthday and for going above and beyond organising a cake to be delivered. They had a wonderful night, and I'm sure, many more to come! Thank you again, and I can't wait to pop in next time I'm in NZ :)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great friends joined us so the company was great, nice setting but disappointed that we couldn't use our gft voucher because we had to spend the entire value in one sitting. We did not need that much food. Service was better this time, I think I had more cheese in my beef nachos that the mince.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently went there for our end of year works Christmas party. The service was pretty poor, we constantly had to go over to bar to order more drinks, waited ages for someone to take our food order, we were told when booking that platters were available.... then told they didn't do them. We ordered off the menu, plates we could share, so starters and bowls of fries. When the food finally arrived it was off the mains menu so difficulty sharing without cutlery etc . The mains we were served were also twice the price of the starter we ordered.
We ordered some cheesecake deserts again to share and asked if they could slice them up. They arrived unsliced and we were told to cut them up ourselves...with a dinner knife!
The bill was twice what we were expecting due to constant stuff ups with food and drink orders.
None of us particularly enjoyed to food, however had a good night together due to our own fun and festivities.
I personally would not go there again to eat, maybe have a drink outside and enjoy the sea views.

Such lovely staff.
Flexible, were willing to serve me waffles when they just changed onto the lunch menu & I couldn't make up my mind on lunch menu options but, knew if waffles were available I'd go for it.
Seating:
Both inside and outdoor options to have your meals.
Environment:
Lovely environment outside, there's ☂️'s set up at most tables & some tables shaded naturally by some ?s. Cute & friendly little ? s came to visit for some food (I gave a little ?). They did not disturb us, & just waited for us to go.
Entertainment:
Music ? loud enough to hear from outside, great song selection, I was singing along to the greats ABBA's hit ?? (dancing Queen)& ??? (Rocket Man), Stuck in the middle with you & there' were other well known great songs played, so they have a great taste in music.
There's a large scale Chess ?⚔️??
Food:
Beautifully presented, sweet waffles & nachos were ordered. There is also a savoury option. The waffles were the best waffles I've ever had. It made my day. Interestingly the food was served before the drinks but, that worked well for us as I had reported I'd go with 2 waffles due to being hungry as opposed to one. Drinks arrived sometime after tlbut, was still good timing as we could have it while we had our meals.
Drinks:
Great value from a bar, $5 for a coke & raspberry & $5 for a ?, lime & bitters. Both glasses were full which makes it well worth the money spent and left us full and satisfied after having our meals alongside our drinks.
Pets:
One lady had her dog tied to something by her table with a bowl so it appears as though pets are welcome to accompany people outside ?.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for dinner for a birthday, sorry but needs a little more work. The wait was quite long and the food apart from two of the meals was actually good. Rest were very average. The nachos hardly any mince and the garlic bread was rock solid. Was not a very great experience to say the least. I don't like complaining but for the price expect a little more.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely setting overlooking the water. Friendly staff. Food average with fish & chips order cold and the calamari stringy and cold so maybe don’t order that dish. We left it well alone. Lovely cold beer and drinks so definitely recommend as lovely place to stop on the cycle trail for a few drinks. Lots of spots to safely park up your bike.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Revisited after twenty years. Lovely venue for events or garden setting for wedding. Inside is nice but no ambience at all, quite cold really and I don't mean the temperature. Nothing special on the beer front either. Just one of the two main brewers in the country who don't allow any other beers except theirs to be sold. Nice place but not a place I would keep going to if I lived there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to sit out i the sun and have a beer and feed. Lots of seating, and shade if needed. Had fun playing some outdoor large piece chess too. Food was tasty and there was no long wait time. The only down side is you have to order inside and also walk your own drinks out, which can be a mission if you have a few to carry!! Table service would be a big advantage.
