β β β β β Went in for emergency Measels vaccination. Didn't happen. Worst healthcare in the country.

β β β β β I wouldn't rate this provider compared to others in te Hiku, you really need to push for straight answers and it seems to be an ACC ticket process more than holistic health (hauora) service for the people but, the team look to be doing the best they can considering circumstances in the NZ health system / staffing issues.

β β β β β Very poor service... Doctors are only there for a wage not to look after you...
Its all about how much money Te Hiku can make not about looking after patients... They have a monopoly in Kaitaia so its either like it or lump it is there attitude... If you dont like the service they provide they kick you out and lie about why they kick you out...

β β β β β When I first contacted te hiku one person insulted me but apart from that lady the staff overall have been fantastic to my weight loss goals even encouraging and accompanying me to get me started. That was thoroughly followed up and I enrolled with the doctor service who are equally passionate about serving the people. I'm currently with Rubyanne and a large group who are keen to get physical well most of the time and she challenges us to do our best as well as looking for opportunities to mix up our exercise program. Not being approved for funding doesn't stop me from carrying on I just do the best with my holy clothes and when I wear out my shoes I'll get more supports for the insides again.

β β β β β A couple of weeks ago I feared for my 90 year old Dads life as he is living in his own home with his elderly wife. His physical health is ok but his short term memory is declining rapidly. We suspect he had not had his meds for a week! Within a day Te Hiku Hauora had organised help for him. In particular the awsome nurses Maureen and Aroha and Dad's own "Guardian Angel" Les Tipene have gone into his home and literally bought him back to a happier, healthier and safer place in a matter of days. Thanks you so very much to these amazing women

β β β β β Consistently bad & unapologetic service. I transferred from Mamaru to Te Hiku Haora 3-4 years ago because Mamaru's customer service and quality of medical care & competency was terrible. Te Hiku is no better. It is really frustrating and sad that I do not have a choice of a medical provider in or near Kaitaia.

β β β β β Poorest service ever and I lived in a few countries. I emailed to ask for prescription. After 2 days I get an email that I have to book doctor
Next day went to clinic. Doctor was not available until 20th of December. I applied for prescription on the 29th of November. When I told the receptionist I have only 3 pills left that day she told me off like she was at least my mother: well you should have thought earlier. How rude and inconsiderate that person could have been!!! Then she said as a favour that she will send the prescription to the pharmacy next day. Next day I go to pharmacy and that was no prescription. Called the clinic and talked to 3 persons each asking my name and date of birth and my story. Third person said the nurse will call me. I rushed to clinic and said I was not going away until I have my situation solved. The receptionist who I had to again tell name and date of birth and the whole story 4th time in one hour said the earliest appointment could be done in 4 days. Remember first time the appointment was after 20 days. A nurse came to tell me that the policy is that I have to see doctor. I said perfect I want to see a doctor. Not earlier than Monday afternoon she said. Today is Thursday. By the time I go to doctor who I see first time and has no idea who I am and what my condition is my blood pressure will be high because I have no medication and will not be able to function because I have no hormones left as I have no thyroid. I think next step is they will let you die because you do not have an appointment.
