Te Kaha O Te Rangatahi is committed to Whanau ora as an integral component of service delivery to rangatahi and their whanau.
Kaiārahi are the Whānau Ora ground-force, supporting whānau to access integrated care and support. Kaiārahi advocate for whānau and wrap the necessary services around them to assist in achieving whānau goals.
Initiatives include:
Takatu
Takatu is an initiative designed for rangatahi aged 15 - 24 that are not in employment, education, or training. Rangatahi create plans that identify their desired pathway, and kaiarahi equip them with skills to make steps towards achieving their outcomes & goals. Alongside 1 on 1 sessions, roopu sessions include:
• Interview Skills
• Confidence building
• Employment rights
• Site Visits to training & education providers
Toi Ora
Toi Ora works with rangatahi to identify their individual / whanau goals and create rangatahi led pathways towards achievement. Rangatahi will be supported by kaiarahi to improve their confidence towards their own health and wellbeing. Support includes:
• PATH planning (Goal setting)
• 1 on 1 Mentoring via regular engagement kanohi ki te kanohi / zoom
• Personal Development through Whare Tapawha
