About Terracotta Lodge & Cottages
Jim and Sylvia Wildermoth are proud of their luxury cottages. They would like to share their pride and their passion for entertaining with you.
Sylvia has lived in Carterton all her life while Jim has been here for the last 40 years (he’s nearly a local). They are familiar with every aspect of the district, from Gladstone and Martinborough wineries and restaurants, the Papawai marae (which is a must-visit), the fair towns of the Wairarapa and the many tourist attractions from mountain climbing to the beaches of Riversdale and Castlepoint.
Our luxury cottages are completely self-contained with full kitchens and laundry facilities. The cottages are purpose-designed as upmarket retreats for busy people and feature full entertainment systems as well as quality fittings and a pantry provisioned with basic food items. Walk to Carterton (or take our complimentary cycles) and drive to Greytown, Martinborough, Featherston or one of the many attractions in Wairarapa.
Our accommodation is perfect for a fantastic break away, offering a private peaceful setting yet situated only 1km from the town centre.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ These cottages definitely had the 'wow' factor for me! Clean, cosy, upmarket, lovely private outlook sitting on the deck. Comfortable bed and large shower. This place has it all!
We will definitely be staying here again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely and private rural setting. Host had provided chocolate cake and had heat pump going on our arrival. Bedding was too hot with no cooler alternative. Issue with plumbing that wasn't resolved as long weekend? Mirrors were terrible for applying makeup. Short drive to towns and restaurants. Generally very pleasant.
No wifi.
