β β β β β Our first time at the Bunker and we had the most enjoyable evening. The food was superb, I had the hare starter and the Beef, both were sublime. It was very difficult to choose there were so many things I wanted to try, thankfully our friends all choice different options and the forks flew around the table! We had to try the desserts, the petit fours were a great option and the salted caramel sorbet was to die for.
Our wine waiter Shane had an encyclopedic knowledge of wine and shared in a very unassuming manner, we really enjoyed hearing the story of how the local wine industry developed.
Emma looked after our table like an old friend.
Truly, it is a long time since a restaurant impressed at every level like this, you would be mad to miss it! We will be back.

This was third first visit here and we had a wonderful evening as always.
The team were very professional, friendly and helpful, the service was excellent! The food was delicious.
The wine list was extensive with something to please everyone..
The ambience was good with perfect lighting and the background music was just right.
Looking forward to returning very soon!
Thank you to Emma and her team, for a perfect evening!

β β β β β Dining from the Γ la carte menu we shared the ostrich ragu which was well presented and delivered some warm flavours similar to red meats such as Wagyu beef or venison. For mains we had the duck which had perfectly crispy skin and tender meat with well cooked sides mixing many beautiful textures and flavours, I must mention the sauce paired perfectly. The venison was also cooked perfectly tender with fantastic sauce although not as many sides to keep the senses going it was a great dish. For desert we had the crΓ¨me Brule, the saffron added a great element which was subtle but really enhanced the experience, the raspberry sorbet was a perfect addition. If you want more than casual pub meals then this place is a must, well priced for phenomenal food.

β β β β β It was amaizing, really something to be remembered and cherished for a long time. Everything could be characterized by a perfect juxtaposition of balance while still challenging the diners' expectations. Unforgettable desserts!
The wait staff Chase was incredible, engaging without distracting from the food, hyper knowledgeable, and worked together as a seamless team perfectly. Strongly recommended! One of the best fine dining restaurant in town!

β β β β β We had a FANTASTIC TIME at BUNKER! Although we got an email the next day that it was on first table... sadly. We were still overwhelmed with the level of service, presentation, and DELICIOUSNESS! I had a lot of questions to ask considering it was the Trust the Chef Menu which I HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Usually you go towards your usually foods. This experience, I was able to try paua! ostrich! salmon tartare! tuna! and so many other delicacies I could not even imagine go together to compliment each other. My partner and I enjoyed everything off the menu. Getting meat options for one, and fish options on the other hand. We are very excited to head back and thankful for the server on that evening to be able to explain every little detail of the dish. That was perfection. Really appreciated! APRICOT SORBET FOR THE WIN!

β β β β β First post covid fine dining experience, so our expectations were high for the 8 course degustation at this highly recommended restaurant in Queenstown. From welcome to farewell, the service was impeccable - friendly, informative, and professional. The space looked like a homely living room, with dark tones, warm lighting, and a roaring open fire. As for the food, well, each course arrived with the waiter's detailed description (great theatre!). Duck. Hare. Lamb. Ostrich. Paua. And more. All wonderfully tasty, and perfectly balanced. The wine list was expansive.
