★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was shocked by what manager Mandip Kumar said when I went to purchase a cake. I saw trainee Amanda decorating the cake Strawberry with her bare hands so I asked her if either strawberry can be decorated with at least glove on or just be removed. Amanda apologized and offered me a new cake with no deco and manager Mandip came to us and asked what the issue was. I told her that Amanda used bare hands when decorating while her colleague was using gloves next to her. Mandip said their hands are clean and yet they touch rubbish bins, tables and etc. She did not make sense herself at all. She also pointed to her colleague who were wearing gloves and said they use gloves for deco so I told her that Amanda did not use gloves.
Mandip then offered me the display cake instead of getting a new one so I refused and asked for a new onewith no strawberry on it. Mandip's attitute to handle a complaint was amateur where she should have apologized just like Amanda and I would have just asked to remove strawberry which was decorated. So disappointed and was going to give 1 star but giving 2 stars because of this tranee's response.
I would not want to revisit this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ At first they give a quote and than when a order was placed and confirmed they came back saying they have to change the price. Within 2 days they decided to increase the price after quoting. Highly unprofessional I would not be trusting this business for any event going forward.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Last yr had a very bad experience from this shop, I decided to try again for my daughter 8th birthday. From order to pick up the cake, the feeling was totally different. Staff was friendly, understand my needs and gave alot of great advice. Most importantly, the cake was awesome. Super moist and yummy sponge rainbow cake with beautiful chocolate coating galaxy pattern. They have also improved the cake box, so elegant and can see through, great for display. I cannot say much but Thank you so much for making the cake. Definitely will order again for my second daughter's birthday. Hope will have the same result. ?

Came to this store as it is closer than the manukau store. Manukau made an amazing Peter rabbit cake with all the correct details so I will be going there from now on.
The ormiston store felt great via email and I gave them all the details for my red Mickey Mouse cake for my child. Although the cake tasted great but the experience I got from the store on pick up was a nightmare.
I did pay top dollar for my big size cake so should have got everything perfect when explained multiple times via email, so I think they should stick with the simple cakes they make in store and not experiment if they don’t know how to.
When I got to the store the lady acted like she was confused and did not know what order I was there to pick up, then she said oh it was booked for the next day and at that point I mentioned I clearly said today on the email. So she gets the cake from the back and it was done except for the writing and candles which they took forever to do. Then when I took the cake home and only to see the colour of the cake was pink not red when I explained it was a Mickey Mouse for a boy not for a girl. Then when I emailed back to complain I got no response from them, they knew they mucked up.
Long story short do not get personalised cakes from this store try elsewhere they are a bunch of confused people working at that store so no point wasting money here go spend at another store. There are 2 more in east Auckland so more options to go to.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cake toppings were not as much like last year's. I can clearly tell the difference as I was very happy with the cake from 2021 because of it's massive toppings and now they just simply scattered it to make it look full. Pertaining about their CARROT CAKE.
My husband's birthday cake looks so sad. ? cake still tastes good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stopped by to grab a cake for a party. They have a large selection of different cakes which is similar to the other branches. It was easy enough to go in and grab a cake. They also had other things available like small treats and candles. There was also an electronic ordering machine but we didn't use it.
