★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely amazing. Has been years since I have been back in New Zealand and been to The Cook. Everything has changed and it looks amazing but still has The Cook classic feel and delicious food. Well done the management and staff.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ For starters, $23 for a beer, and a bourbon & coke...too expensive.
My partner tried to order his meal, and 3 times was told " sorry we can't make that tonight as we have run out of ingredients".
The meal he finally was able to order took 1.5 hours to cook...it was a burger ffs.
Not impressed. Definitely recommend elsewhere.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went for lunch which was delicious. A great small pub which has been nicely renovated. Plenty of space inside and a few tables outside. Love the good George beer on tap and had friendly good service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had dinner here tonight with family. My Marguerita pizza was delicious and hot and a good size as seen in photo, as was my triple ice cream sundae. Not sure about the candy floss whatever on top of sundae. Certainly wasnt really what i expected. BB burger ordered wasnt that great, very plastic tasting and neither was the sampler food platter as it was all deep fried.
However on a positive note the service was second to none. Friendly, efficient staff who came over to table a few times to ask if we were ok and did we need anything else. Would go here again but would order something different to burger etc.

Not wheelchair accessible unless you ask at the moment due to only one entrance being open to follow COVID restrictions...but just ask in advance and the awesome staff will sort it for you?Everything is clean and inviting. Totally recommend, especially two for one pizza nights on a Tuesday!? Great environment guys! Well done?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A good place for a solidly decent meal, and family friendly. The kids menu is always good for my fussy child. They do a taco platter which is good for groups. They have a range of Good George beers and ciders on tap. Upstairs they have a decent space for a party which can be booked. We’ve used it for a few birthdays. The toilets are down some stairs and are tucked away.
