This place is awesome! Not just for kids, my girlfriend and I were genuinely stunned by how cool The Dinosaur House is, and who isn’t impressed by dinosaurs?? Would love to see it develop further!

Great, quirky museum, interestingly set in an old office building. Not just dinosaurs and information, but movie memorabilia and video games that relate to dinosaurs too. All with a cool animatronic intro! This is clearly a labour of love from the owners, who will answer all your questions and tell you all the stories!

Definite must see (even if you're not a kid). The exhibits are cleverly thought out, informative and fun. A huge amount of effort and expense must have gone into this and despite it all being in a small space, it still manages to do a great job of conveying the scale of the prehistoric beasties. As well as the various lifelike reconstructions of dinosaurs (some animatronic) there's some fun pop culture touches, like the free arcade games (including the retro 1980s classic Dragon's Lair) and the mini Jurassic Park outside that you access through a door painted like a TARDIS.

A very in depth passion project which is open to the public. Well worth the detour and reasonable entry fee for a look at what’s inside. Themed rooms contain huge animatronic dinosaurs, skeleton replicas, movie props and very informative plaques. There are even a couple of terrariums with interesting animals like Australian water dragons, rainbow lorikeets and a grumpy cat! Perfect for kids of all ages.

A great place with fantastic displays, even if the building is a bit pokey. Not something you expect to find in Raetahi. Our 18 month old was absolutely terrified of the life sized moving T-Rex! We'll be back when he's a bit older.

Neat collection of Dinosaur related items to explore in this town. Ticket prices are very reasonable and if you have a large group, ask for a group discount ?. There are different themed rooms e.g Jurassic Park and the garden out the back has some great photo opportunities and a chance to be creative.
