Its not a real show. Its a show but it's nice to see some of the Maori traditions being presented. The Maori welcome dance is very interesting. The food was great as well.

Nice location in the woods, 30 minutes drive from Rotorua. When had Bob as a fabulous driver. Gave us a warm welcome, and introduced us to the village. Once in the village a clan of warriors welcomed us on a traditional way in peace to they're village. After a tour through the woods and learning about they're way of living. And learning the famous Haka, we were invited to eat a traditional meal. At first it maybe expensive, but it is worth it.

This is as authentic as you can get in terms of getting a Māori experience today. The only thing that would have made this better would have been for guests to be fluent in Te Reo Māori so that the hosts could have spoken in the native tongue of the first people to arrive in Aotearoa, better known as New Zealand around the world. One gets great insight into the world of the Māori with great authenticity, ranging from the Māori myths surrounding the creation of the world, to their war strategies, and cooking methods. The experience is one that the whole family can enjoy, and what's great is that visited also get a part to partake in the activities, like Māori games an of course, the Haka. If ever visiting New Zealand, this is a MUST DO experience!

Really interesting tour. Thoroughly informative about Maori culture and history actually making you want to know more. Sincere, knowledgeable guides and a great meal and performance at the end. Would probably go again if I was out in NZ again.

It was an amazing cultural experience. We drove to the Tamaki Maori village office where the bus was waiting for us. There are plenty of places to park if you drive there, but they can also pick you up from your hotel. As the amount of people can be big, they split the groups by tribes - we were the KIWIs. Our korotiwaka (driver) was Aroha, and she was AMAZING! On your way to the Tamaki Maori village (the village is a different location from the office), she will ask for someone to be the chief of the tribe. I would highly suggest for you to volunteer as you will have extra interactions with the locals. Guaranteed FUN! The experience starts on the way in the bus. Once you arrive at Tamaki, you immerse yourself with the Maori culture through ceremonies, chants, dances, and learning experiences. It is very well done. They make it as a show, which is necessary to give you a good feel of the culture within such short time. It is entertaining while being informative. The dinner, which is a Hangi, was delicious and enough for everyone. On our way back, Aroha tried to keep the energy up, and sang pretty much all the way back. Thank you for the entertainment, and providing such positive energy! We had a great time, and would suggest to visit if in Rotorua.

Great Experience. Our group did the night tour and we all enjoyed the tour very much. It’s a very touristy affair but I guess this is as close a Maori experience as one can expect these days. Very informative and fun villagers, great performance and entertaining bus drivers. The feast at the end of the show is incredible.

What an incredible experience! We learned about the Maori culture and had a great dinner. We went on a rainy day, but the rain didnt disturb our adventure. The driver of our bus was very friendly and made everyone feel at home!

One of the best tour I have taken. The driver was funny and make the trip to the village educational. The experience was fascinating and entertaining, offering insights into the lives and culture of the Maori people. The meal at the end was absolutely delicious as well. Highly recommended!
