★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Such a lovely place to be at awaiting to board. I Have just arrived to my destination and thought I had to share my experience. I had ordered chicken wings & salt &pepper squid. Dang I tell you these were the best salt & pepper squid I’ve had so far, well cooked and served within a timely manner. Big ups to the Chefs, staff members & the young lady who was the manager out on the floor checking up on us customers (Bravo) . I have got to say the staff members are lovely and always smiling which brighten up the atmosphere. I know most time customers are quick to judge and complain but never as quick to pass on good feedback. I will definitely be coming back as I often travel out for business, will recommend to the rest of my team. Keep up the good work as it doesn’t go unnotice!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s been awhile since I traveled domestically so it was my first time at The Gipsy Moth. The cafe was clean, the service was good, and the coffee wasn’t bad. Would like to come back and try their food next time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome addition to Auckland Airport and a much needed, we’ll polished café! The brightly lit space at Gipsy Moth is well lit and inviting without being a cavernous food court. Nice architecture division of the space also ensures you get a bit of privacy as you enjoy a beer while you wait.
Food offering a worth their money, with a classic breakdown of breakfast from bacon and eggs to croissants and pastries. The coffee will do; unfortunately good ingredients are put in untrained hands at the coffee machine.
Gipsy Moth also has a good selection of alcohol, with decent NZ wines and more mainstream beers. This makes for passing the time easier, whether hanging with travelling companions or sitting at a side bar and watching some sport.
Go here if you have time on your hands, and enjoy Auckland Airport’s only worthwhile café!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place very disappointing. My wife and I had breakfast here with our grand daughter. The seating and tables were grubby. The breakfast menu was very limited. The enamel bowls were like our camping plates! Really surprised how poor this was. Next time we will have breakfast at McDonald's.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ordered their overpriced and not very good food. My wife went off looking for drinks. Not realising they had a bar (there’s a division between it and the eating area) she went to one of the other bars in the food court of which this place appears to be part . When she brought them back we were accosted by an employee of the place who told us very brusquely we couldn’t bring in drinks bought elsewhere, and that they were not part of the food court. No signs to that effect. We solved the problem by taking our plates out to the bar!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recommend Fish Taco and their amazing Cider! Excellent food! Amazing ambiance! The staff named Apple Losa is so friendly and accommodating! Freshly delivered food and drinks while watching rugby game! Great location while waiting for your flight! ???

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I guess my expectations were too high but the service wasn’t great (they scanned our passes and then just turned away, I had to ask whether we could just sit down somewhere and then I had to ask someone else whether there were menus and how to order), then they forgot part of our order and by the time we followed up on it we had to go, so we left still hungry. Fish taco was pretty good despite the fish being mostly batter. Don’t think we’d come here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pleasant staff, lovely cold Heineken and an iced coffee for $18.50 so not over the top pricing either. Cool music piped in the background provided a nice relaxed atmosphere to sit and have a pre flight drink
