About The Hangar
ABOUT US
The Hangar got its start housing the roasting and wholesale operations of Flight Coffee way back in 2012. As is the Flight way, setting up shop in a car park was step one. Some warm macrocarpa went in to line the walls, an espresso bar down the one side, a roaster down the back, and the Wellington-based flagship was born. The Hangar became a place to share how we roast with people who were drinking our coffee, somewhere we could geek out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Needed a coffee stop, popped in and was warmly greated , cinnamon scrolls looked delicious so grabbed along with flat white. Scroll was bit buttery for my liking but coffee was good - stayed hot for a while and not as strong as I expected.
Interesting there was a coffee menu with sharing platters???? Which I would like to explore another time , will defo go back.

The bennys look delightful and taste it too. We tried the white coffee tasting paddle. Those are double shot coffees guys, don’t do it alone! Each one had a different flavor. nice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Have you found yourself on a Wednesday late morning/early afternoon looking for a great cup of coffee and some grub? Well we found ourselves here at The Hanger!! It started being greeted by the host with a smile and seated quickly. We ordered 2 of the best coffees we had had, possibly ever, mocha and latte (pics below). Both were the perfect temp and texture, amazing, so smooth that my son asked the barista for advice about recreating it at home. They sell their own roasted beans and we picked up a bag. Food was equally delicious. Couple of chicken burgers, my son got the Tahini Bircher and my wife got the chicken bites with fries. All served hot and photo ready. Fantastic. Seriously. Wandering through Wellington, lost without coffee and food. Go here, no wait you didn't hear me correctly, Now GO! I assure you, you will not be disappointed.
