recommend The mild butter chicken ? and narn bread garlic and cheese Five stars guys never tasted butter chicken like it well done

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to The Maharaja on a Sunday night which is when they have a special price of $14 for any standard curry. Our family of 5 had a curry each and the food was absolutely fabulous. The down side was as it was busy the food took a while but definitely worth the wait. The decor is a little ragged around the edges and certainly not flash but the great food eclipses all of that

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice enough tasting food but I dined in for dinner and got a butter chicken that had about 6 slivers if chicken equivalent to a God old $10 lunchtime curry at most other establishments.
SO EVEN THO FOOD IS TASTY PRICE IS RIP OFF

The online booking was handy but customer service in store was kinda awkward. The bell at the counter could do with a sign to indicate its use as I was standing waiting for a while till I saw it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I start. I wish I could rate this place in minus. First impressions, lady at the counter didn't even bother to greet us. Still decide to sit down unfortunately. Place was cold with only one heat pump for the whole area.
Our order was taken after 15 minutes even though there were only a couple except us and there orderwas taken before.
We wanted some hot drinks or whiskey to warm up us until food arrives but nothing was available. Ordered some starter and curries. Starter took an hour to arrive and food another half an hour. We were never informed there will be waiting time. We ordered mild to medium spice but curries were hot and didn't taste fresh so we couldn't eat it.
The worst part when came to the counter, lady started manually calculating our bill instead of using till. Never seen so backward service and facilities in new zealand before.
I do work in hospitality and hardly give bad reviews to any food places but this place needs upgrade. Lack of communication with patrons, staffs with no motivation and low quality of food after long wait are the major reasons everyone should AVOID this place.
Oh and also, we got sick and vomited when reached home.
NEVER COMING BACK !!! AND WARNING EVERYONE NOT TO BE IN HERE.
