Great little aquarium in the Hawkes bay our daughter loved it and the staff were very nice especially when one of the maintenance stuff was rude to my wife about not wearing a mask (she has a medical exemption) He was arrogant and abusive however the reception staff handled it very well.

A cool collection of sea life. Love the penguin enclosure and feeding session. The hawksbill turtle is impressive. It could be better as it's called the national aquarium of NZ but might be smaller than Kelly Tarlton in Akl.

We spent around 80 minutes , just taking our time sitting down here and there , taking it all in . Got very clean toilets , gift shop. Plenty of parking out the back and if in luck room to park your motorhome . And price is affordable. At the moment with New Zealands borders shut you can sit back and take photo's with out tourist walking in your shot .

This place is much bigger than you’d think. We adored the penguins, giant turtle, and the conveyor belt in the underwater tunnel. Go early because this place gets very busy. Upstairs is a bit of a random area that feels slightly disconnected from the aquarium theme.

Aquarium is different to one in Auckland, there’s kiwis and turtles, blue penguins in aquarium. Gift shop inside is good too doesn’t have many gifts, gemstone bracelets are nice.

Always a wonderful place to take my toddler, she never gets sick of it, so I save it for the rainy days. Lovely reception staff. Nice and clean facilities.

Don't be fooled by the outside look. Once you're inside, you'll be surprised how big the aquarium is. It has a lot to offer. Great place to go for families if you're in town and want to see aquatic life.

Pretty good for the size of the host city. For admission price, best if you can stay a couple of hours at least. Penguins, turtles, stingray and sharks were the favourite along with the dinosaur
