★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I stayed at the Nautilus for 2 nights and had a fantastic experience!! Great balcony with a view of the ocean, super comfy bed, massive tv, and really awesome spa bath in the room! Highly recommend this place for a great stay in Napier.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Room was nice and cozy but the Indian guy receptionist was very rude to my partner!when my partner ask him about what room I was in. “He said to him oh she’s your partner why you didn’t call her?”(in rude way)…the receptionist guy phoned me inside the room and I told him to let him come up here as I can’t go down as my tummy was hurting (just had procedure from my miscarriage) and the Indian receptionist just told me”why don’t you come and get him here”!! … my partner crashed his phone that’s why he couldn’t get hold of me and we just lost our baby! He shouldn’t be rude to customers like that especially when they didn’t know what they’ve been thru!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We stayed here 2X so yes we went back there but this comment will supercede any great thought we now had of this hotel. Disappointed at the customer service approached front desk gave our name, first thing he says with tone is why did you cancel rebook cancel rebook again....we advised him No we didn't, continued with tone...I asked do you want me to stay here...his reply *I really don't care* Hospitality business & poor service don't mix EVER. No excuse, we keep you in business by coming to your hotel and spreading the word to others. Because of the simple act of not been courteous or polite, we will never go again. Accordingly to his actions the customers was never right. I would think twice before booking with this hotel. It was lucky we gave it a 1*. Very disappointed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big clean room, unfortunately this summer weather was too hot to have a soak in spa bath. Lovely sitting on balcony looking out at ocean & people watching. Had dinner in restaurant, delicious seafood chowder & then hubby & myself had seafood platter which was delicious . Reception was very friendly

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My father and I phoned the Nautilus at about 11am driving from Wellington and had planned to drive from there to Napier in one go but knew we would arrive very late (12am) when we phoned and told them they were happy to save the room and wake up when we arrived. When we arrived they had upgraded us to the most expensive room in the motel WITH A SPA/HOT TUB inside. Totally for free.
They were the most lovely people and were so friendly and kind, they stayed up very late and let us call their personal phone number to wake them. So kind and genuine people.
Perfect location right in center of town next to the beach
