Ugh. Useless. I've been waiting for an 'express delivery' that has been sitting in the local driver bay for the last 12 days. I understand there can be delays, but there is also no reply to email and no answer on the phone (40 minutes on hold). How do companies like this stay in trade? zero stars.

I ordered some goods from Australia to be delivered by PBT Couriers. In less than a week, the parcel arrived in Auckland, New Zealand. However, PBT took over a month to deliver my parcel. The tracking website does not show any date or tracking information either aside from the vague statement “imported on run sheet”. I only found out my parcel was delivered when I saw my mailbox all the way at the front of my house wide open in street view with the parcel box sticking out of the mailbox. The courier driver had shoved the large parcel box into the mailbox rather than having the courtesy of leaving the parcel box at my front door like every other New Zealand courier driver outside of PBT. As a result, the product inside the parcel box was exposed to the heat in this summer weather and the goods valued over $450 NZD arrived damaged and had melted whilst the product caps had popped open in the heat causing leakage and oxidisation. I did not report this to PBT but this neglect is absolutely appalling. Now, I have ordered a replacement for the damaged goods and it has again been over a month where PBT has held my parcel without delivering. It arrived from Australia to Auckland, New Zealand, in a week, yet PBT takes 4+ additional weeks to deliver the parcel. I contacted PBT call centre to ask for the whereabouts of my parcel. To which the customer service agent advised me that they would check to see if the courier driver had my parcel in their van by chance and call me back. Till this day I have not received a call back, which gives the impression that the customer service agent lied about enquiring regarding the whereabouts of my parcel just to get me off the phone in under 5 minutes. What exactly are your customer service staff paid to do? Absolutely untrustworthy and no help at all. I am shocked that PBT is still in business here in New Zealand with poor customer service from the unhelpful call centre staff right down to the careless and unprofessional courier drivers that damage parcels with neglect during delivery. The only explanation is that PBT offers dirt cheap delivery services or else no business would make the regretful decision of being associated with PBT as their delivery partner. I have ordered a few other times from other websites in the past who I learned have used PBT and there was not a single time where the parcel was delivered in a timely manner. The delivery is almost guaranteed to be delayed. I will no longer be shopping from any merchant that uses PBT as their delivery partner.

3 times more than 90mins calls on hold and no answer at all! 2 packages have been returned to sender as this company cannot do basic tasks my address is quite easy to find and no other courier provides has even a pinch of issues this company has! This also applys to business to business packages. PBT is utterly useless in any form of capacity when it comes to transporting or delivering anything. Highly highly do not recommend!

Very disappointed with the customer service from PBT. I was told by the trailer that I'd have "express shipping" on my parcel which meant delivery in under a week. 3 weeks later, it hasn't even been scanned into PBT's depot yet and it's been with them for over 2 weeks. I've tried contacting them via email and the form on their website. It's been over 5 days, no response. After being on hold for almost 40 minutes finally got through their Customer Services line and have been told that my parcel has lot been scannned yet. You really need to be staffed a lot better for the holiday season, knowing full well it's generally a very busy the of year.

PBT is the worst courier company in New Zealand. Unfortunately, many south island retailers seem to use them, and I have had every single parcel sent to me via PBT delayed by a week or, or go missing completely. This was before the pandemic too. If they state anything quicker than a 10 day delivery time within New Zealand, it's false advertising. Overnight? LOL. I will say the customer service team was friendly and has always tried to help as best they could (once you get through after 10-20 minutes). But, I guess when the rest of your business is a complete shambles (network, drivers, warehouses, etc) and can't actually deliver anything without losing it, then that doesn't practically help much. If you are an online retailer I would avoid PBT. You will invariably get a lot of annoyed and disappointed customers.

I have never had an issue with Peter Baker Transport, and they manage to get North Island deliveries delivered next day. Considering I miss addressed something the company I ordered from remedied quickly. Was simply blown away they delivered a parcel from Rotorua to Auckland when collected late in the afternoon and delivered next morning before 9am to a private address. Appreciate their service.

This is the worst by far customer experience I have ever had. This company is absolutely useless. Wait up to half an hour on the phone to get to talk to someone who. They are liars. They say they will call back. They do not. They say they will deliver the product, but they don't know when - can't specify a day or a time. I have ended up losing four days of work through waiting for this package to be delivered. The shipper has spent hours on the phone with them. They are absolutely absolutely useless. They say they are sorry. There are over 100 reviews on Google here about this company. They are all say the same thing. If my shipper hadn't chosen this company I would never, never have used them, and I never will again, and I recommend that anyone reading this also decides to not be fooled by this company's "cheap" prices. They are wholly uncompetitive, lack integrity, competency, and have no, no customer service capability.

I highly do not recommend PBT for any business. In terms of delivery and customer service, I would definitely give PBT 0 stars if there was a 0 star scale rating. The reviews on their website also confirms that this is the worst delivery company in New Zealand. We ordered express shipping to ensure our gift would get to our loved one by Christmas. An expensive item too. As of today, it has been nearly two months since items went missing and haven't been delivered. According to PBT, the courier delivery drivers were at fault and misplaced the items. I have called multiple times since then to check the status of my order. Whenever I call Tanya, the PBT operator states they are still liaising with the delivery guys regarding the missing pieces. Does it really take nearly 2 months to liaise with courier guys to find where the parcel is! An absolute joke! We have yet to receive the missing pieces. I would not recommend PBT to any business company in Auckland! It is so frustrating and time consuming having to chase them up when they are expected to inform and update their customers about the items they misplaced! NOT A HAPPY CUSTOMER AT ALL! Will be sure to spread the word of how bad your service is to others.
