About The Scoop Gelato
We are a family owned and operated gelato shop, proud to be selling high quality gelato
made fresh in-house.
Located in Waharoa, just north of Matamata on state highway 27, it's an easy stop on your commute north or south for some gelato, a sundae, milkshake and more!
We offer an extensive range of 18 delicious flavours which also include gluten free, dairy free and vegan options as well as allergy considerate varieties.
Our gelato is made in small batches using authentically Italian techniques and processes.
The Scoop will also soon be offering take home pints as well as homemade gelato cakes to enjoy in store or takeaway. These will be announced as they become available!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They make the most amazing flavours right here in this shop, we tried the white choc & plum, blood orange & choc, Oreo.. all so yum. Generous scoops, good value and was the perfect dessert after worlds best steak & cheese pie next door. Thanks, can't wait to come try the rest!

Clean, modern, simple, stylish, "toilets"?, & then the gelato flavours are something else!??. Totally recommend this place to all. You have to visit at least once if you're in the area or passing through. Well done Waharoa???

This is such a cute little store and definitely not something I expected to find out there. The Gelato is delicious and they have a surprisingly big selection. The scoop sizes are also very generous! This is definitely a must stop spot and in fact.. I think I might plan a trip back just to go here again!! Definitely give it a try ??
