★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My usual mechanic was fully booked so I thought I'd try The Wof Shop. I was pleasantly surprised by the amazing staff and service I received. Carl was excellent, very knowledgeable and did a fantastic job.
I am happy to have found a reliable mechanic that I can trust. I will be back for my next service!

They give great advice when needed and do the job to the best standards anybody could ask for. I would highly recommend them to anybody who needs work done on there car mechanical or just needing a WOF. Great team to deal with.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty awful experience with their clueless WOF inspector. Failed the WOF of my car for something which doesn't exist at all for model of my car and was adamant he is right, claiming all the WOF inspectors in the last 10 years didn't do their job!!
5 stars for John, owner of the business who was polite from the start, understood where I am coming from and went on to check the same in another parked car of same model to realise WOF inspector is wrong.
Will go there again for other services, but probably not for WOF.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Consistently exceptional service. This is a pop and son business so you're dealing with honest folks who just want to service your car properly. They give honest advice on what they think you should do and its always bang on. Service is cheap but not because they cut corners, they've got excellent community connections with all sorts of businesses around NZ, so they will get great part rates. Anything they can't source you'll have to supply however, so be aware if you have a BMW, you'll need to find the parts for them.
I swapped over to a toyota aqua in 2021 just so this shop could have an easier time servicing my vehicle. They also recommended me to get one, and I must say I think its a great car.
Like many businesses right now under covid, wait times can be a bit longer then usual but they always fit you in as soon as they can, and even have courtesy cars available for you while you wait.
These guys are great, been in the industry for years, and are very friendly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolutely terrible service. Took my 2017 model vehicle in for a wof and failed it on absolute rubbish. He failed it on 5.2% oversized tyres. I still have original rims and when i got new tyres i went with one size larger all terrain. When i got home i looked the up the tyre size in inches and did the math. The guy can't obviously do math.... not a fail. Other things was a damaged mirror need replacing. This was a ice cream smudge from my liitle one which I just wiped off. He also failed me on my snorkel fitted by the dealer/ manufacturer saying it needs to be certified if fitted to the body. What a joke. Then he said I need to provide him with proof its fitted by manufacturer and prove tyres size is not in breach. Caused me a bunch of un necessary headaches, time and money. My vehicle has been serviced and Wof by the dealer for the past 3 years in exactly same condition and I have never had any issues. Then first time I take it somewhere else this @!$#^& punk that can't even do basic math fails me on this garbage. Terrible service and don't recommend taking you car here unless you want the headaches. And Fyi this is the first time I have ever actually taken time to leave a review, so that should speak for itself!!!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Absolute best and most trustworthy WOF inspection shop and mechanical professionals I have ever dealt with.
Don't listen to the whingey reviews by little boy tantrum throwers who are having a cry over failed warrants. These guys are topnotch and provide amazing service, great feedback if doing a pre purchase inspection, and don't charge the earth for their services.
I cannot recommend this business enough.
