★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The team at Tipene Funerals have gone above and beyond for our family. First with the handling of my dad in 2013 and more recently with my mother in law.
Our family wholeheartedly entrusted our loved ones into their care, and are truly grateful for the love and care given.
To lose a loved one and to hear that they are talked to and nurtured during the preparation stage brought great comfort.
With this level of aroha/alofa comes a high level of professionalism. Removing the stress of organsing a funeral (e.g. Covid level restrictions and the requirements that follow) allowing us as a family the space to grieve.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister passed away last month during lockdown. All the Whanau from New Zealand & Australia watched live the day of her burial. No music playing she loved music no service given.
Just closed the casket pushed it out to the Hurst.
This was upsetting to see didn't even get to see her burial live which we believed was gonna happen. I emailed Tipene funeral services to let them know how disappointed the family was.My uncle did a service and song for my sister when we realized Tipene funerals wasn't gonna do anything not even a prayer. It's being 3 weeks now since I've emailed them and they didn't even have the decency to reply back to me. So I would never use them for my loved ones in the future and definitely wouldn't recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tipene funerals made farewelling my husband in lockdown bearable. The empathic service was appreciated. They offered suggestions that met the rules and allowed us to celebrate his life. The referral for virtual service was unexpected & we had a genuine goodbye. Tipene went above with organising visits at funeral home that was an extra effort for them and the drive by our house on way to cemetery. Tipene staff made a devastating event bearable bringing closure . We are so grateful.

Mum was treated with respect and, when she came home before being laid to rest, she was beautifully presented. Thank you so very much Fiona and team.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They are an amazing professional and loving crew. They are the only funeral home I trust with my loved ones. Recently lost my dad and the amazing aroha and support they gave was over and above. They slowly take you through all the aspects of exactly how you want your tangi experience to be. They supported us through the paperwork of getting trough level 3 borders and we never felt pressurred only supported. Our whanau can never express enough gratitude to what they have done for us. You will always be in our hearts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In 2014 we lost our father, Francis and the team made sure that dad got nothing but the best as dad was a veteran, and then most recently we lost our baby sister just before Christmas and Andrew and his team also made sure that Monica received everything we had asked for.
My whanau thank the team at Tipene Funerals, especially Francis and Andrew who took great care of our loved ones, compassion and support throughout this difficult time ensuring that our sister and father received a beautiful send off.
We highly recommend Tipene Funerals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Plenty of street parking as it is very limited parking there.
An amazing relaxing and welcoming venue.
A lot of seating for family and friends for the service.
They have a good sound system so you can also hear the person clearly speaking into the microphone.
So if your sitting at the back you can hear the person talking clearly.
Live streaming possible if you miss the service in person.
