★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mad Campers made my wife and my trip to New Zealand awesome! They gave us a very warm greeting when we arrived and made the check-in process and camper tutorial very easy. The van was a champ and did us well. Maybe it looks smaller than other campers you might see cruising around but it with its strategic placement of everything, it did not make us feel cramped. We slept well and were very warm with the blankets provided. My only note would be that the pillows be a little thicker (thats just my preference). The roof storage stored our two carry on sized luggage great and could even hold more if we wanted it to. When we wanted to take a tour somewhere we contacted Mad Campers and they quickly responded and were able to book us and for a cheaper rate. Before you book a tour somewhere make sure you check in with them to see if they get any discounts. We had the van for 16 days and cooked everyday at least one meal. We refilled the propane tank once over half way through and that was only $13 NZD. We didn't have a problem finding good free campsites most of the time. We wish we could have stayed longer! If we come back to New Zealand then we will definitely use Mad Campers again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mad Campers made our NZ tour amazing! You immediately become part of the ‘Mad’ family when you walk through the doors- everyone is so friendly and unbelievably helpful. Be it booking activities or letting us extend our van rental- every week for two months- they made life easy!
So much thought had gone into the layout of the vans and you can tell when you’re living in it. The bed is so comfortable and also quite spacious! The kitchen is perfect- with two burners for cooking and a refillable has cylinder! The canopy was a great addition and definitely worth having for extra space and privacy! (And so easy to set up and put away). We had a lot of stuff and bags but had plenty of room!
We were so well taken care of by Mad Campers and I can’t wait to go back and do it again!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went on a convoy with 4 mad campers and had the BEST time, Andy has thought of everything you could need for your trip. The bed was super comfy, the kitchen has all utensils & enough room to cook your meals. Adding the table + chairs was perfect too. Overall experience 10/10! They are such happy little campers, would recommend to anyone looking.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I hired the mad 1 - a purpose built solo camper for my 5 week tour round New Zealand. I could not recommend it more, the team were great and you could tell a lot of thought and care had gone into designing the van. It was easy to drive and also had enough space inside. Would definitely recommend this company and go with them again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Me and my partner had an absolutely amazing experience with Mad Campers!!.
We were so close to not doing anything on Christmas & New Years holidays. We have a small car and can barely fit anything in it. Went on google to search for a camper van and Mad Campers was the first thing that popped up. Called the team straight away, we booked the MAD2 and left on the same day to explore the East Coast. That’s how easy the process was with such a chill and an awesome team.
We have experienced camping in tents before but, using the Mad Campers was a whole new eye opening experience.
Being able to experience multiple locations with Mad Campers as it was easy to pack up and head back on the road. It was so convenient.
My fiancé LOVES listening to music and the sound system was just perfect!!. The kitchen had all the utensils that we needed, towels, pillows and blankets was included and the bed was reeeeally comfy. We were able to charge our phones and iPads overnight to use for the next day. No need to worry about storage, the roof top storage and also inside the van has plenty of storage for 2 people. Literally EVERYTHING you need is included. The van itself was super easy enough to drive.
The Mad Campers team was very helpful, the service provided was just excellent with emails and phone calls from beginning till end of our 8days trip. Connor curly hair guy was taking us around and showing us where everything was also with the keys and today on our drop off, Andy was there to greet us with his big smile, super cool guy.

Me and my fiancé had made memories in the MAD2 that we would never forget. Was truely the best holiday we’ve ever had!!. Would definitely use you guys again fam :).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a blast on our 10 day South Island Camper trip. Highly recommend Mad Campers! The campers are great and comfortable, there was nothing that left us wanting as they really thought of everything. I suggest grabbing the mosquito nets for the windows - serious help against the sandflies! We had an issue with the original camper we were given, and despite it being a public holiday we had it swopped out and sorted within a couple of hours. Seriously amazing service!

The team at Mad Campers have thought through every small detail to ensure the trip is the best possible, from the comfortable large bed, ample storage space, fully functioning sink and water to the pull out kitchen & fridge. They really have thought of everything. You can tell that this is a product that has been developed by a team of people who are obviously passionate about travel and care for their customers experience. I wholeheartedly recommend Mad Campers for your next trip!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mum and I had the roadie of a lifetime thanks to Mad Campers. The MAD2 was perfect for our needs. The van was easy to drive, contained the sink, tap cooking utensils, stove, chilly bin, chairs, pillows, blankets, toilet, enough storage space and of course the bed. Plus other handy things. The curtains blocked out the sun in the morning and the sound system was easy to use. Full tank was affordable and lasted us a decent distance.
The customer service was 10/10. Andy and Connor were friendly, knowledgeable, and staff replied to emails quickly/answered calls within a few rings.
We can't recommend Mad Campers enough. Already thinking about our next adventure with Mad Campers!
